It broke

I bought this to remove the staked castle nut that came factory installed on my Colt AR-15. After applying some heat to castle nut to try and break up any loctite that maybe on the threads I proceded to try and remove the castle nut only to have the wrench break before the castle nut broke free.

One other downside I found to this was that it's make with really thin metal. When you grip it and try to remove the nut the thin metal hurts your hand. I wrapped some electrical tape around it to be able to get a better grip and so that it doesn't hurt my hand.

I gave it two stars because even though the wrench part broke I can still use the other end to take down my 1911, so all is not lost.

Needed a castle nut wrench to tighten my buffer tube down and came across this one. Well made wrench and did its job. Heck...you can't beat the price either!

This works great! It removed 2 castle nuts that were staked on and that had destroyed 2 other cheaper tools... The power custom wrench worked like a champ and is ready for its next castle nut... Must buy on this, ditch the cheaper (and sometimes more expensive units).

I had my doubts before ...

I had my doubts before buying this wrench given all the options and price ranges available on the market. This wrench did however remove my spanner nut allowing me to change my AR-15 stock back plate. The handle is a little short , cutting down on leverage you can apply however a few taps of a hammer on the back of the handle took care of any stubbornness the nut may have had and the tapping did not distort the wrench.

The castle nut on my M&P ...

The castle nut on my M&P 15 appeared to be peened to the end-plate. With me securely holding the lower receiver, a friend was able to repeatedly strike the handle of this tool with a rubber hammer and break free the nut with no damage to the wrench and only minimal scuffing of the nut.
