The Glockworx ZEV Tech Stainless Steel replacement guide rod allows you to change spring weights to tune your pistol to a particular load. The guide rod is designed with a replaceable head that can be changed if/when necessary thus extending the usable life of the part. The extended guide rod is uncaptured. The ZEV Stainless Steel Guide rod is compatible with Gen 4 Glock with the use of guide rod reducing ring.

I put this in my Gen 3 ...

I put this in my Gen 3 Model 24 race gun and am happy with it. The end of the guide rod has hit the front sight access hole a few times and the end is dinged up. This means that the stainless used is not a very hard stainless, but it doesn't bother me. It allows me to use various weight wolff springs and I am told 'muzzle flip was reduced.....'. I will say that when hand cycling with a wolff spring, the spring is quite noisy when it bunches up against the side of the guide rod. Other than those issues, it has been flawless and I plan to keep it in the gun.
