I have used several of these for years on my Mark II pistols and they worked great. I have never had them move forward on the pistol. Simply slide the mount on the pistol until the rear most hole is behind the rear sight. Insert the bolts and gently push forward until the rear bolt touches the rear sight and tighten the bolts. The mount can't go forward from that position.

The mount will not stay ...

The mount will not stay put. It slides forward no matter how hard I tighten the screws. When the mount slides forward it interferes with the operation of the gun and causes it to misfeed.

I looked for a mount for my Mark II for quite a while before discovering this one. What really differentiates this mount is the ability to still use the original sights on the gun. I use this gun for competition as well as varmints. Competition rules only allow for the stock sights so this really fills the bill. Great product!!!

The best feature of this product is the universal ability to mount on any barrel length and the Mk I or Mk II model. It provides a sturdy and solid mount on which any scope or red dot may be mounted. Also allows for use of open sights. The only drawback is added weight, but that is still quite manageable with a two handed hold. It has allowed me to shoot eight inch groups at 100 yards with my MkII and 2X scope over a bench rest.

Installed easily per instructions. Works great on my MkI. Light weight (only looks bulky), saves tapping the receiver. Can still use open sights through small tunnel. A large dia. scope bell with low rings might block the open sights, if so, get higher rings.

The mounting screws block ...

The mounting screws block the sights on my Mark 1, this is not a see-thru mount. The mount will not stay put, it slides forward from the recoil. I have tried several times to tighten the screws with enough tork to make me think it would surely stay put this time! I have finally given up!
