I have 6 of these and ...

I have 6 of these and plan to purchase more. This case stores .38 Special snubbys, .357 magnums (4" barrel) revolvers, and medium size pistols (anything carry size) safely and securely. There is no movement of the weapons, magazines, or speedloaders during transport or carry. Excellent case. Superb value for the money.

My biggest issue is that there is not enough foam inside them to keep pistols in place during transport, which I would think would be the very minimum expected of such a product. Put a large frame revolver or similar gun in the case and pick it up. You will immediately feel it "clunk" to the bottom of the case. I wouldn't buy this product again, and though I have not tried any other Flambeau cases, I wouldn't bother with them either based on the quality of this one.

Not very pleased with ...

Not very pleased with case. Bought two at once and both have the same problem. The foam isn't thick enough to hold the pistol tight. Both store glocks and they are not thin little pocket pistols. When I center the pistol in the case and pick it up by the handle I can hear the gun immediately fall to the bottom of the case. I would have given one star but the second star is for the fact that the hinges and latches seem pretty sturdy. The plastic isn't overly thick either. I will have to buy additional foam to thicken whats already there for a more secure hold on pistol.

Fantastic case. I bought ...

Fantastic case. I bought one for for a used pistol that I picked up without a case; I loved it so much I bought two more to replace the factory cases for my other pieces! Very sturdy construction, the foam is a nice tight fit, and the locking mechanisms are top notch. For the price, you probably can't find a better case out there.

5 stars for the two ...

5 stars for the two smaller cases, 3 for the large 17 inch case - for an average of 4.3 stars overall. The two smaller cases are great for holding a single gun - holding the gun securely. The large case is big enough for two guns (I tried two heavy 5 inch Ruger MKIIIs) but they slide around with ease. I arrived at the range to find my pistols had been cavorting around with one another somewhat freely. Highly recommend the two smaller cases for single pistols only...they hold a firearm securely. The large case has too much surface area to hold things securely. Thinking of trying perhaps a Pillar-Lock or Pelican case for multiple pistols to keep them secure.

This case is perfect for ...

This case is perfect for storing a Kel-Tec Sub-2000. I know there are lots of soft cases for it, but I wanted a hard case. I've found that pistol cases are too small, and rifle cases are too big. The Sub-2000 will just barely fit in this one as long as you don't have the stock extension on it (if you plan on moving it a lot, the ends of the case might rub against the gun, so I use the case for closet storage only.) Very glad I found such a great case for my needs!

I am very disappointed in ...

I am very disappointed in this product. The biggest thing is there is not enough foam. I place my 44 mag in the case and lifted the case and felt and heard the gun slide to the bottom of the case. I would not buy another case by Flambeau unless the foam is thickened. To fix this problem I plan on buying thicker foam so this doesnt happen in the future while transporting in this case. I guess you get what you pay for.
