I use this bullet with a 30 caliber sabot in Marlin 336S 30/30 and have startling results. I chose this bullet due to the tubular magazine on this rifle and the danger of primer ignition during recoil. In the Marlin rifle with a very clean barrel, I was able to achieve repeatable sub 1" five shot groups @ 100 meters for about 30 rounds. I then had to clean the barrel due to powder fouling. After cleaning, the rifle repeated the same groups for another 30 rounds. At 200 meters the group opened up to a 2.25" five round average. but I found that more than acceptable out of a lever rifle with a cartridge that has a very long case neck. At an average velocity of 3672 fps, this bullet comes unglued when striking coyotes, causing a great deal of pelt damage but anchored coyotes solidly. This is probably a much higher velocity than this bullet was intended, but used in a plastic sabot, it is a gem.

This bullet makes an excellent reduced load in .22 Hornet or .223 Rem. Use IMR SR4759 to get approx. 2000 F.P.S for Turkeys or Coyote with minimal pelt damage. Good accuracy also.
