The Lauer DuraCoat Shake N' Spray Firearm Finishing Kit comes with everything needed for a complete DuraCoat finish. The process is as easy as 1-2-3; degrease with the included TruStrip and scrubbing pad, mix the DuraCoat in the provided jar and spray it on with the provided preval aerosol sprayer.

I used this product to refinish an old single shot 22 that was passed down a couple of generations. I wanted it to be professional refinished, but that takes money I didn't have. I used this, and the Birchwood Casey stock refinishing kit and my rifle looks amazing! Great price, easy to use, have recommended to many other people and am planning to try one of the other colors. Only problem I have is not having enough things to refinish!

Kit is very user friendly. The prepping took the most work but the end result is awesome. I gave it only 4 stars because the kit says it has enough for two long rifles or four handguns. I did a IO inc akm(47) and a slide off a glock 19 and I hardly had enough for two coats. I let the paint cure in my blazing hot garage overnight and the next day I ran my finger nail over the paint and it was as hard as nails. The next time I might buy my own sprayer and save some money over buying another kit.

I have used 3 of these kits and I find that there is a consistancy problem between the kits. Each finish looks different and the spray bottle is horrible. Seems to work fine on smooth or flat surfaces but if painting over letters, engraving, nooks and crannies, or anything else, expect to loose definition due to the thickness of the paint. I lost the knurling on one of my bolts due to this paint. I will use something different in the future.P.S. the finish (when done right) does do its job and is very durable, just not pretty.

The contents of this product worked well for me. I used it on a Romanian ak. The only thing you need in addition to the kit is denatured alcohol for extra cleaning (recommended by my gunsmith). That being said, I would do a lot of research on the forums before using this product on a high end firearm or certain metals like stainless. In some cases a media blaster is required. The kit worked great for an old ak-47.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!AWESOME!!!! product, plenty of paint to cover 2+ guns. This was the way to go for me, did not really want to get into buying all the equipment. Did what I needed to do, dispose of when completed. No messy clean ups. Great product, I will use it again!! Had a few runs, but plenty enough paint to wipe it off and re-do it, got it right the second time. Thanks Larry, keep up the great work!!

Great product! It's very easy to do yourself & looks awesome. I was surprised at how good it looks. I used it on a stainless steel fluted barrel. The matte black is a very dark low luster black color.

Outstanding product. Very easy to use. Just make sure if you coating a non parkerized surface sand well with 400g sandpaper. De-grease well. The finish does had a slight sheen to it but this is what I was looking for. There was enough product to do a 1 AKM (Maadi) with a folding stock (East German) 2 gas tubes the recoil spring base the safety lever 12 magazines and floor plates and a Gerber Mark II knife. Needless to say I am quite satisfied.

Great product, once the items to finish are sanded lightly and de-greased with the included de-greaser , mix and spray. Covers well but very thin layer per coat so it is easily controlled. Do not use on small parts with tight tollerance. Matte Black has a bit of a smooth sheen but just right in my opinion, Snow Gray is medium gray with almost a hint of tan. Once again , great product, easy to use.
