These fiber filler wads are extremely light and flexible and can be used as a cushion and filler as they compress a bit during crimping and during firing. The overall effect of the cushioning wad is to reduce felt recoil.

Almost perfect...

I use these in black powder brass shells. They work great. The only thing wrong with them is they are not pre-lubed - it's easy to fix by melting some "bore butter" and putting the wads in the melted lube. And they're the perfect volume to fill up my 2 1/2" hulls with my powder/shot combination.

I used to hand punch all my wads out of left over insulating wall boards until I found these pre cut wads. Never again will I punch wads. For the price the convenience of opening the bag and fishing out a wad is more than worth it. Some of the other brand of wads I have bought have more of them that are bits and pieces than whole wads. These seem to be made of a more durable material and most all of them are a complete wad. They are tough enough they don't fall apart as you push them into the shotshell hull.
