Excellent grips! The ...

Excellent grips! The actual grips look better than the displayed picture. The texture on the grips is just perfect. The grips feel good in the hand and provide a secure hold on the revolver. With these grips in my small/medium hand, my SP101 3" barrel .357 Mag points naturally, like an extension of my hand. I have tried the Ruger stock grips and Hogue fingergroove style grips. The Ruger grips are too square in the middle, not allowing the revolver to point naturally and feels cheap in my hands (maybe because of the plastic inserts). Hogue's grips are too thin in the middle and a bit longer than both Ruger and Pachmayr. They don't feel secure in my hands and don't point naturally. These Pachmayr grips are a bit thicker in the middle, but that thickness allows me to hold the revolver securely, a very nice thing to have when I'm using .357 mag ammo! I don't use my SP101 for competition target shooting so I don't need the fingergroove style grips. I use it for personal protection so having a revolver securely in my hand is important for me as well as pointing it naturally forward like and extension of my hand. I was so impressed with these grips, I bought a similar grips for my S&W 640 2" .38SPL (Product #812023). I love both of these Pachmayr grips and highly recommend them. If you have big hands, the Hogue's fingergroove grips might be better for you.

Fit and finish is nice. ...

Fit and finish is nice. It feels comfortable and the gun shoots accurately. Will not allow you to use speedloaders due to clearance issues. Therefore, I wasted my money on it. Bummer

This was a product that I really wanted to like, but the fit on the gun was so poor that I ended up returning them. The shape, size and finish of the grip was just about perfect for both improved control and concealment, but the fit on the gun was so sloppy that I felt it degraded the experience of shooting it. I have had and enjoyed Pachmayr grips on other guns for many years. These are a great dissappointment.

Great feel but poor fit ...

Great feel but poor fit on the gun. I really wanted to like this grip because it feels great in my hands. It is held on by the one screw through the center along with an included cheap plastic spacer. Unfortunately the grip does not hold the frame firmly. You can easily rotate the frame slightly inside the grip. This leads to lost accuracy and potential loss of control. Also, if you try to screw it in too tight the screw extends beyond the grip on the other side. They should have included metal washers or panels inside the grip to prevent this situation. I highly recommend the Hogue version as I put that one on and now have a perfectly snug fit and excellent feel.

Although I had no ...

Although I had no pressing reason to replace the factory grips on my SP101 with the Pachmayr, I am glad I did! These grips are denser than the Ruger grips, provide a more secure grip and still allow a nice balance. Easy to install and they fit very securely. They add a couple of ounces to the gun, but the gain in control makes that worthwhile.

Great grips. Compact and ...

Great grips. Compact and not slippery. They fit great. If you like the original SP101 grips but want a grip that's better, but of a similar shape and size, then this grip is for you. If anyone has problems with them they don't how to put them on.

I put these grips on two ...

I put these grips on two SP-101 revolvers, a .327 and a .357, and I am very happy with my choice. I was looking for something a bit more substantial than the factory grips, that would fit me more naturally, and these do the trick perfectly. They cushion recoil, provide a non-slip hold on the weapon, are trim and compact, fit both weapon & hands well, and allow use of speedloaders. Also, they are easily installed and easily removed for cleaning the gun. I couldn't ask for more. For someone with small hands, such as my wife, these grips fit less naturally than the factory grips, but still suffice. If she were shooting higher-powered loads or shooting more often, she would prefer these grips to the factory ones, I'm certain.

Save yourself some money. ...

Save yourself some money. They don't fit or feel right, specially when you shoot the Ruger sp101. I recommend better the Hogue grips. Don't waste your money.
