Cast Performance Wide Long Nose Gas Check bullets are cast from virgin alloy and produced in extremely precise and consistent LBT style molds. Optimal hardness from heat-treating prevents fragmentation on even the toughest hide and bone. Cast Performance Bullets are known to not lead your bore and feature a specialized lube allowing bullets to be shot at high velocities.

I am shooting these at ...

I am shooting these at 2000 fps and they leave no lead in the barrel at all. I have never gotten even close to this velocity with any other lead bullet without heavy barrel leading. I love it!

These bullets performed ...

These bullets performed exceptionally well in my Marlin 45-70 loaded with a stout load of H4895. We hit a 14 inch gong at 300 yards consistently in high winds. I am not suggesting that this is a long range load, however if you can hit it this will put it down. We also shot 2 rounds into a huge Granite boulder and they penetrated 2 inches. cant wait to try on moose this November in Alberta.

Great bullet!!! Loading in a 450 Marlin and it is pushing 1870+ fps. Best Hog round. Fast and accurate, a real pig crusher!!!! Love to try it on elk or bear.

The Cast Performance 405 ...

The Cast Performance 405 gr WLNGC bullets using Reloader 7 powder shoots into a small cloverleaf at 25 and 50 yards in my Guide Gun.I used this bullet powder combination to harvest a 320+ lb wild hog.One shot behind the shoulder. A hunting buddy said that the impact was like a stone hitting a pond. The hog dropped in the spot it was hit.Velocity around 1700 fps. and NO leading in the barrel.Thanks Midway USA, for making these available!!!

I purchased and loaded ...

I purchased and loaded these for a black bear hunt this year. I loaded them and worked up to close to the max velocity of about 1900 fps in my 45-70.Boy do they shoot great. I got consistent groups with a scope of 1 to 2 inches at 100 yd. This was a pleasant surprise to me for a strong load.I feel very comfortable with this load in our thick woods. More later on terminal performance on Mr. Bear.

OMG! Just returned from ...

OMG! Just returned from Africa after loading numerous bullets and powders. Finally settled on these bullets with IMR powder that got them in the mid 1800's. Accuracy was well, unbelievable, and they blew through everything I hit from Duiker to large Kudu, Gemsbok, and Hartebeest and baboon. They just kept on going! Good news is the animals did not. From back to front, front to back, total penetration. All fell in their tracks except the kudu which was broadside and just above heart with no bones broken. He went 100 yds before stacking. All with a 45/70 browning BPCR. This will take down a buff, no prob. Next Trip!! Hits like a bomb! With little damage to skin. Best I've tried so far.

I load this bullet in an Uberti Sharps Long Range 45/70 @1850fps. I've shot 4 shot 2.5" groups at 200 yds. Great uniformity and accuracy.

I purchased this product ...

I purchased this product to use in my 12" .45-70 Contender. So far these bullets have proven to be very accurate. My first load with them gave a 1.5" group at 100yds, and the groups just keep getting better. The quality of the product is surprising for a mass produced cast bullet. There were very few nicked or damaged bullets out of the whole box of 100. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a hard cast .458 caliber bullet for a rifle or handgun.

Loaded these bullets at a velocity of 1825fps in my Uberti Sharps Long Range. Off the bench, they grouped one inch @100yds. When a flat nose lead bullet groups one inch, I'm impressed.

These bullets should make ...

These bullets should make great hunting loads in 45-70, while I didn't use them for that it is clear that's what they are intended for.These are without doubt some of the best cast bullets I've ever used. Inside the box was a slip of paper with some loading information for the particular weight bullet and which guns the loads should be used in. That was a definite plus, so thanks Cast Performance.
