I originally bought these for my 444 Marlin but then discovered that they wouldn't chamber. With my 444 cases trimmed to the recommended minimum length the ogive of the bullet was such that it hit the rifling before the action was fully closed. If I really wanted to shoot these I could have trimmed the cases even shorter so they'd work (which is what Hornady has done with their LeveRevolution pointed bullets) but that would mean that I could only shoot these bullets out of those cases. I decided to load them for my 1894 Marlin in 44 Mag instead where they work great. Their accuracy is quite satisfactory and they'll make a great Whitetail round. I can't wait to try them out this fall!

These bullets load and ...

These bullets load and seat easily and group well. You will need to pay attention to twist rate in your particular gun and the bullet weight. I prefer to use the 300 grns but they are too heavy for my lever gun with a 1-in-38 twist. Mainly got these cast bullets for bear (Grizzly) in remote areas of MT. Hope to never need to use them for that purpose. I do enjoy shooting them though.
