Ultra-light Harris Bipods are lightning quick and quality manufactured with heat treated steel and hard alloys. These adapters allow you to match any Harris Bipod to your favorite firearm. Adapter only, Bipods sold separately.

Harris Bipod Adapters

Material: Steel

Application:

Number 2 Flange Nut:

Allows mounting of swivel stud on hollow synthetic forends. Flange is 5/8" wide by 1 3/8" long
Number 2A

5/8" round head flange nut works well on Ruger Model 77 Synthetic stocks
Number 2R

Has radiused flange for mounting to wood fore-ends under magazines or gas tubes
Number 3:

For Remington Model 4, 74 and 7400
Number 4 Universal Barrel Mount:

Requires 2" of clear barrel for mounting. Clamps to barrels from .550" to .812"
Number 5 Stud:

Fits AR-15 A2 handguards, sling swivel included
Number 6 Stud:

Slides into 3/8" rails and locks in place with a set screw
Number 6A Stud:

Slides into 5/16" rails and locks into place with a set screw
Number 7A:

Rubber spacer may allow mounting on thin forends and Schnable type forends. Reversable to change angle of bipod
Number 8 Stud:

For Remington XP-100 synthetic stock. Includes a 7A spacer. Requires drilling
Number 9:

For flat-bottomed stocks
Number 14:

For Ruger Mini-30 and Mini-14. Fits standard and ranch rifles. Will not fit the 180 series or Ruger folding stock. Quick detachable

rattle and roll

I did not find this adapter useful. I placed it on my 580 series Mini-14 with wood stock. When tightening the set screw I found that it marred the wood on the forearm. Also, no matter how much I tightened it, it would rattle off after only a few rounds. I ended up getting a synthetic stock and putting in one of the other forearm adapters that Harris sells on their website.

To the comment from the person who said this didn't work with the "target" model. Note that the target model does not have the stock Ruger gas block mounted sling attachment--for some unexplainable reason. This stock sling attachment is necessary for this Harris adapter to lever off of. Moot point anyway, in my opinion, because the adapter does not provide a sound fit. YMMV.

This regards a target ...

This regards a target model with thumb hole stock. I was not happy with the fit of this adapter. It needs to be modified slightly to correctly fit (in my opinion), but cannot be because it is stamped. I took the rifle to my gunsmith to install swivel studs which I should have done in the first place. I cannot comment on whether it fits well on other models.

This adapter works great when using a bipod, installation is easy and straight forward. Word of caution, if you are shooting without the bipod, remove it or the extra weight will cause the adapter to fall off and if a sling is attached it becomes a shin banger. For bench, prone or kneeling with bipod this is a great addition to the Mini-14 with enough clearance on the bench to clear 30 round magazines.

This adapter works very well the istalation is very easy to do and uses the sling eyelet as one piont and the gas block as another. It is pretty solid, but the end lifts of the forearmstock when you tighten the set screw to secure the adapter. On the adapter there is a replacment sling point, so you still can attach a sling after all is said and done
