Finally my S&W model 442 ...

Finally my S&W model 442 .38 spl feels good in my hands. I really disliked the rubber grips that came stock on the pistol. Great price! I have looked for similar grips at gun shows that ranged from 40-100$! Also super fast shipping, but I live in the same state as Midway.

Just received a great looking set of grips to replace the black synthetic grip that now comes on all Smith & Wesson revolvers. I wish they would offer a choice between the black and the great looking wood grips. I put these grips on my 317 with 3 inch barrel and they look fantastic and my wife even thought they look better than the black grips. Give this product five stars and also a great price on the grips.

These are nice grips. They fit great and are a little thinner than stock wood grips. With a t-grip I have the perfect addition for my j-frame. I'm ordering another pair today!

My local gunshop ordered these grips for my 442-2. The grips fit the gun perfectly and are reminiscent of the old walnut checkered service grips that S&W used to put on their new guns. They are made out of a very expensive impregnated plywood. Looks great, fits great, and will probably last forever. I like-em! They are a good alternative to the rubber boot grips that come on the new J frames. I shoot with the rubber---carry with the wood.

These laminated S&W ...

These laminated S&W quality grips are way better than the rubber boot grips that come with their new J-frame Airweights. Instead of the backstrap digging into the palm during recoil, shock is distributed over a broader area by these grips and +P's are surprisingly tolerable. Though they dont have the deep checkering of the old-style walnut grips, they have the same traditional good looks in a more durable material.

I fully agree with the other reviewers who gave these grips 5-stars. The rubber "boot grips" that come with the S&W J-frame revolvers appear to be popular but I strongly dislike them. These small grips allow me to get a higher, more secure and more comfortable grip on the gun. I get better control that way, especially when shooting +P ammo in the Airweights. I have large hands but the smaller grips fit me more comfortably. The checkering on these Dymondwood grips are nice and "grippy". Even with sweaty hands, the gun doesn't twist on recoil. The gun also carries well--the smaller grip takes up less room in a pocket and it's easier to draw from the pocket as well. The laminate grips also look better than the ugly black rubber S&W uses these days. While most people want "hand-filling" grips on their revolvers these days, I've discovered the original small service-style wooden grips from S&W are a lot better for my use.
