Product Information

A great bullet for competitive shooting or small and medium-sized game, these high-quality cast bullets are composed of 6% antimony, 2% tin and 92% lead with a Brinell hardness of 15. They are rated to 1600 fps without gas checks. The bullet lube is designed for use with smokeless powder, but it will work with blackpowder firearms that have barrels less than 20" long. The alloy is lab text certified before casting. This is not loaded ammunition.

This is an excellent cast ...

This is an excellent cast bullet. I shot a box of 250 with greater accuracy at both 38 Special standard velocities out of my 4" Model 10 and at moderate 357 velocities out of my 6" Model 19 than competitive 158gr LSWC bullets. It did not cause excessive leading. I have not used the bullet on game though I would have no concerns that it would be as effective as a LSWC bullet. The Hunter's Supply Lead Flat Nose has a generous meplat for caliber that combined with the front edge of the driving band should penetrate well.

I use these in my CAS guns. Load easily, perform flawlessly. Consistently accurate regardless of distance or discipline. The bonus is that clean up is a breeze due to the hard cast configuration.

These Bullets are seamless, unlike cheaper brands, that tend to stray from the mark due to imperfections of the surface. They are as accurate as any commercial Bullet I have used.

Still a beginner at ...

Still a beginner at reloading, I was using 158 grain hollowpoints on lead knock-down targets. These hard cast bullets, with the same powder charge, improved my accuracy and target knock-down consistency. Great product!
