A great bullet for competitive shooting or small and medium-sized game, these high-quality cast bullets are composed of 6% antimony, 2% tin and 92% lead with a Brinell hardness of 15. They are rated to 1600 fps without gas checks (sold separately). The bullet lube is designed for use with smokeless powder, but it will work with blackpowder firearms that have barrels less than 20" long. The alloy is lab text certified before casting. This is not loaded ammunition.

These bullets showed up ...

These bullets showed up without gas checks, so I had to add those. Maybe the ad meant that they could take a gas check. They are nice and hard.They do not measure .311. They mike at .310 plus a little.The design is such that you need a short throat in your rifle to take advantage of them, if you cover the lube and even more so if you use the crimping grove. I used them in two Krags.They shot pretty well in one, but not very well in the other, yet both rifles do shoot well with other cast bullets.These are OK bullets, but there are better choices available.

These are clean, uniform ...

These are clean, uniform bullets. Used without gas checks to develop a subsonic load in 7.62x39 brass, 1 in 10" twist barrel, 22 inches long. After 20 rounds there was some leading, but it was removed with little effort. Bullets were marginally stable. Inch and a half groups at 50 yards. 1 in 8" twist required to fully stabilize bullets at this low velocity.
