The material and quality ...

The material and quality of the pants is excellent. Pockets and seams are well sewn. The material is definitely cooler than canvas (a blessing in Texas), and dries quickly. The (sort of) drawback to these particular pants is the cut. They do not have a full cut seat/thigh and so they fit relatively close. This is GREAT if you use thigh rigs, as there is little material to bunch up, but BAD if you were looking for something to fit similar to ACU/TDU/BDU pants. Interestingly, although a closer fit than I expected, the relief points have never limited my range of motion during movements and changes in position. If you are between sizes, order the size larger (if you have a 35 inch waist, definitely order the 36 pants). The elastic waist allows the pants to conform to changes in stance/position, not error small on pant size.

The reinforced knee is positioned a little too high. When I bend my knee or when I take a knee on the ground, the reinforcement creeps up my thigh leaving only a small part of the reinforcement covering my knee that is making contact with the ground. And I personally prefer a straight leg pant (not tapered) so that it fits over a boot more easily.

These 5.11 tac Lite pants ...

These 5.11 tac Lite pants are the only thing I wear anymore. I wear them six days a week at work and weekends. I would wear them the other day, but it's court and I have to dress accordingly. Here in Louisiana, it's hot and the 5.11's are cool and light. Every pocket usually has something in them. I teach CC and I wear them for that and other shooting activities. Currently, I use black, navy, coyote, tundra and OD. They are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn and the rip stop fabric makes them very durable. I highly recommend them. Bob!

they fit great! I like the pockets and the quick access to them. They are a little noisy tho when you are walking, of course this is due the material they are made out of.

I have the original 5.11 ...

I have the original 5.11 pants and shorts. The quality is exceptional. The pants are a bit heavy for warm weather, but the Taclite pants are really perfect. I wore them for the first time yesterday during 8 hours at the range in 78+ degree weather. They were very comfortable and despite numerous drills kneeling and shooting prone, they did not pick up any grass stains at all. 5.11 quality is superb.

I've been a fan of 5.11 pants for a long time. I decided to try the tac lite pants. I've decided that I like the standard all cotton pants better. The tac lite pants are great, but I just prefer the all cotton versions.

I think there fine. The only thing was that when I ordered them the site said that I should order the length a little longer for whatever reason. I did and they were too long. The next time I will order the size like I do my jeans. 32 X 32. Other than than, great pants.

I bought these pants on ...

I bought these pants on recommendation from my local sheriff's Officers, & found them to be great in room & comfort & have all the right pockets for all the things I normally carry. They wash up great & look good. I'd recommend these pants to anyone who's active & needs cargo pockets.

Great lightweight fabric blend that is sturdy and holds up to most wear and tear. Love the back pockets design to allow for large amounts of stuff to be pocketed.
