Operators told 5.11 that they wanted a hard knuckle glove, the HardTime was their answer. Starting with the excellent fit and performance of the Tac AK2, they then added Kevlar and articulated hard knuckle plates. Instead of a single piece covering all four knuckles, two separate plates are used and each covers two knuckles for improved comfort, dexterity, and performance. Tough thermoplastic plates are padded on the side facing the hand and covered with a durable subdued laminate finish on the business side. When wearing these gloves, you're going to have to resist the temptation to punch the nearest wall!
