This kit includes all the necessary items to convert the Lee Turret Press with Auto Index to a 4 hole system. Please note that this kit will not work with a Turret Press with manual indexing unless the manual indexing ram is replaced with the auto-indexing ram (Available from MidwayUSA product# 283940).

Extra head for my Lee Classic Turret

The head on my classic turret press has "sticking points" in the turret rotation with every turret I used. It was messing up the index bar function.

Lee does not(at least on midway)sell the head alone, so I got this with extra turret in it.

Works as it says it should

I've reloaded about 300 .223, about 500 45ACP and about 400 38 Spl with this little adapter in my turret press, and I have to say it's very much worth the money. I've broken nothing, gotten very repeatable reloads and in general really gotten my moneys worth. Yes, the primer feed is a bit hinkty but everyone's primer feed is kind of iffy. It's also not $500 like the top end units are either.

If I never got any more reloads out of my setup than I have now, I'd be happy, but in fact there appears to be no wear, and I'm sure I'll get many more years out of this inexpensive but useful setup.

I purchased this upgrade about 2 years ago. The indexing parts are plastic and will not stay in place. Therefore it will NOT index anymore. I would NOT recommend this product. I am going to buy a different brand and dump Lee.

I upgraded my three hole press which allowed me to add a universal decaping die. The movement of the dies is very smooth. Well worth the money for those who find themselves needing to add a single die, but don't want another press added to the bench.

Simple to install and actually works smoother than the original 3 hole turret. Opens a spot for the carbide factory crimp die, which also works nicely.

I was excited about the ...

I was excited about the upgrade to 4 holes (since I have their 3-hole turret) until I used it. The auto-indexer is no longer cast aluminum, and the screw to hold the 2 plastic halves together is completely inadequate and stripped right away. The square ratchet inside the indexer didn't last more than 50 rounds. I like the 4 holes, but forget about auto-indexing.
