Product Information

Winchester Super-X Silvertip offers a unique combination of power, precision, reliable functioning and on-target performance via a specially engineered jacketed bullet. Originally developed for Law Enforcement as a replacement to traditional hollow points, this bullet delivers penetration and rapid energy release with virtually no weight loss or bullet fragmentation. Super-X jacketed hollow points have notched jackets to ensure positive expansion. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

All Time Favorite for accuracy and power. Nice golden muzzle flash. Magical accuracy. Has never jammed in my very picky, selective jam, Bar -Sto 5" Glock 23 Match Barrel. Switching out Gold Dot 155 grn Load, that I've carried for 12 years, for this. Better accuracy, less flash, less recoil, comparable expansion, more ft lbs of energy. Maybe 540 out of this barrel. Always works. Solid stopper. This is my Carry round, to save my life.

I use the Silver Tip hollow Point ammo in several of my various calibers including a Walther PPK/S .380, 9mm, .40 S&W with a Berretta96, Sig Sauer P229 and an EAA Tangfolio as well as my .357's and Colt 1911 .45acp, all these have always fed and functioned perfectly without any feeding problems in any of my guns. They are extremely accurate and I sent a few off to be tested in Ballistic Gel by a testing lab a few years back when I took to carrying these in my Walther .380 Carry Gun, The expansion and weight retention was unbelievable! These bullets expand to about double there original size! They also resist plugging up with clothing in a defense situation like some hollow points do, denim, Cloth Jackets, or even Leather Jackets don't plug these up and cause them to fail to expend, I carry them in my personal carry gun and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a good carry round.They also perform excellent in the 145gr .357 Mag for Deer Hunting, I dropped a deer 2 years ago with one shot through the heart, the deer took 3 steps and fell over dead! Highly recommended, excellent hunting/self defense load in any caliber. BUT... they are hard to find these days and pricey when you do find them! RemMax

I have used this ammo in 9mm and 40 S&W and it always performs flawlessly. I have used it in my Glock 17, SW 910, Browning HP 9, SW 410, HKUSP40 Compact, Taurus PT140 and most recently in Springfield XDSC 40. I have never had any problems with feeding or misfires. Top quality ammo. I would like to see it in an 180 grain for 40 S&W but all in all, a great ammo.

Love this ammo for defense in my Glock 23. Powerful, you shoot this ammo with other 155gr. and you WILL notice a difference. Accurate also, NAILED a beer can a 25+ yards on the second shot. Never had a single misfire or misfeed. Trust me if you are looking for a powerful 155gr. defense round then look no further, this is the stuff!!
