I found this bag to be more deer sized than elk sized. In fact it was not large enough to hold my quartered elk. They are not near as stretchy as the label would have you believe. It is better than cheese cloth however, the material is durable. I found the Alaska Game Bags to be a much better product. If you can find them the Alaska bags are the way to go. If you are going to go with the Allen bags it might be a good idea to take an extra bag along just to make sure you have enough material to take care of your meat.

I used these bags on an elk hunt this season. These bags were very durable and held together much better than the cheesecloth type bags. As posted by another reviewer, these bags don't strech as easily as the cheaper bags, but they do keep your meat a lot cleaner because the gaps between threads are much smaller. The set did hold my quarters just fine for a decent sized colorado cow elk, would be tight for a nice sized bull though.
