These Heavy .45 Colt +P loads are safe in all LARGE FRAME Ruger revolvers.(includes Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, all pre-2005 Vaquero, Bisley, Redhawk) These Heavy .45 Colt +P loads are NOT intended for the New Model Vaquero (small frame). These loads are also safe in all modern Model 1892 leverguns as well as all Winchester & Marlin 1894's Please note that this ammunition is not intended for older guns. It is made for modern firearms only, as some of the ammunition could damage older and weaker firearms. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

I shot this ammo through a bowen 5 shot custom. I chronographed 5 shots at about 1475f.p.s. at 15 yds.

The 260 grain jacketed ...

The 260 grain jacketed hollow-point works extremely well, both in accuracy and feeding due to the clean rounded shape. It's a better choice if your shots may be past 75 yards as the bullet drop is much less than Buffalo Bore's heavier loadings. I've used this load to take several deer and one hog weighing about 180 pounds. It performs particularly well out of my Marlin 1894, 20 inch barrel, as well as longer barreled rifles with different rifling; ballard, micro-groove, button rifling, etc.

The .45 colt does not ...

The .45 colt does not meet Illinois specs for deer hunting,(500 ft.lbs.at muzzle). Buffalo bore excedes this. I've used them for two years now and took a deer each year. 1st deer at 15yds, 2nd deer at 30yds. both deer were knocked down with one shot and killed. 2nd deer had heart completly destroyed.The bullet does more damage from 25yds and out. I zeroed pistol for 25yds and hit 6 inchs high at 100yds Shot were consistant with average group of 2 inchs at 50yds. this ammo is powerful and deadly out two 100yds. But be sure to use only in approved weapons. I am completly satisfied with this round. Can't wait for woodchuck season.

Awesome round! I recently ...

Awesome round! I recently purchased 4 boxes of Buffalo Bore ammunition consisting of 45 Colt +P and 454 Casull rounds all of different weights but all were LBT LFN with the exception of these hollow points. This is the first time that I've seen all four rounds produce the same results with excellent accuracy. These are a very stout round with performance that is just shy of the 454 Casull. I definitely recommend these for anyone looking for a new round for hunting. The gun being used was a Ruger Super Red Hawk with a 7-1/2" ported barrel. Groups at 50 yards were less than once inch with a lot of rounds lining on top of one another.

This ammo is truly ...

This ammo is truly extraordinary considering the history of the 45 Colt round. Often thought of as having weak brass and lukewarm performance, Buffalo Bore takes the venerable old round and makes it a big game killer. Yes, it does have very stout recoil and is meant to be used in a limited and noted list of firearms only, but add the stated velocity and energy numbers to a longer rifle barrel, such as my Marlin 1894 CBC .45, and you've got a package capable of taking just about anything on the planet. An added bonus is the shape of the JHP bullet makes for smooth, jam free cycling in lever guns in case a second shot is required. 300 pound wild hogs have fallen DRT when I've used this through my Marlin, and I still have a full magazine of these gems for any future hunting trips.

I recently purchased a Marlin 1894 cowboy rifle for deer hunting in Indiana. I used this ammo and I took a deer at 150 yards with this ammo. I am impressed. However I believe the bullet was past its maximum range, it still downed the deer. It cycles very well in the lever action. Will buy again.

I could only get 4" ...

I could only get 4" groups with this ammo out of my Ruger Bisley.Not the ammo's fault,my gun just didn't like it.Very hot round with STOUT recoil.
