Product Information

AccuBond represents the most advanced bonded core bullet technology to date. Through a proprietary bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond marries Nosler's traditional copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep, won't cause extensive barrel fouling, and will retain 60-70% of its weight. The polymer tip helps protect against deformation while initiating expansion upon impact. This is not loaded ammunition.

We have used this bullet to kill 4 deer in the last two seasons, and performance has been excellent. 3 of the 4 were complete pass throughs, 3 of 4 were dead right there bang flops - one went about 40 feet after being shot. One bullet was recovered after traveling through about 30" of deer (8 point Missouri Whitetail - facing quarter shot entry just above front shoulder, found lodged under skin behind last rib on opposite side). This bullet was a perfect mushroom, weighed 98 gr. retaining 70% or its weight, and had totally trashed the upper thoracic region with very little blood shot meat on entrance or upon exiting the body cavity. Very impressed, and also by the way this bullet is the most accurate in both our 7mmWSM and our 7mm-08. 5 stars all the way in my opinion.

Don't really like these all that well. My Savage 7mm-08 doesnt shoot them well and had poor results on the one deer I shot with them. Going back to my old stand by with Nosler Partition. Nosler still makes a great product though as my nephew has the same model Savage as I do and his rifle loves these bullets.

The accubond is the best hunting bullet I have ever seen, period. Outstanding performance. Great accuracy. I stopped using my 7mm mag years ago because I could not find a bullet that would hold up to the velocities without blowing up on deer under 100 yds. 160 gr bullets would blow grapfruit size holes and the deer still would run off for me to track down both shoulders destroyed. I have taken deer from a few feet to several hundred yards with accubonds and its like hitting them with lightning. Never seen a bullet that drops deer after deer in their tracks up close and far away, same results, dead deer! I use 140 in my browning bar and 140 and 160 in my 1885 single shot same reults, just less recoil with the 140's I highly recommend these bullets in any caliber, 6mm and up. If you hit them at any angle in the heart lung area you will be happy and hooked for life!

Dang good bullet. 1/2 inch 100 yard accuracy out of multiple 7mmstw's. Fly's true, and knocks deer down at 500 yards in their tracks. Rl25 with a 215 will do for a 7mm stw or a 7mm rum.

I load these to 2700fps ...

I load these to 2700fps using Win 760 powder for a couple of XBolts in 7mm-08. One is a Micro Hunter and the other is a Stainless Stalker. I can get them over 2800fps+, but the accuracy drops off a bit in my rifles when I load to that velocity.I have taken 3 nice bucks with the 140 gr AB (weights 165 -185 lbs, 100-140 yd. shots), all have been 1 shot kills and the bullets performed perfectly. There are so many great bullets to choose from, but the AB is at the top of my list and has been for several years. They combine great terminal performance, good accuracy and they don't break the bank when you buy them!

Excellent bullet in my sons browning 7mm-08. Just started reloading because I was tired of not being able to find consistently accurate factory loads at a reasonable price. Shot 30 rounds today at gun range in 3 shot groups at 100yds maintaining several below( .5 inches). largest group was( .584). Very impressed with this round.

I am running these in a Nosler 280 Ackley Improved rifle with Nosler's factory ammo. Scope is a Zeiss Victory FL 4-16x50I am getting one hole 100 yard groups and 2.5" at 500 yards. The first weekend I went hunting with this setup I shot a doe at 350 through the neck, two hogs at 180 (one shot, through the head of both as they were lined up) and a nice buck at 100 yards. I am VERY pleased and will be loading my own for this rifle.

I used these in my 7mm Rem mag in a Tikka by Sako of Finland. I get 3100+ fps and under 1" groups. I shot two antelope this season with one shot each, instant kills. One at 125 yards. Went through the left leg bone, heart, and exited the right side behind the leg with a 4" exit wound. The other at 200 yards. Hit the backbone behind the shoulder and bone splinters destroyed the heart and lungs, and made a 2" exit wound.

Decided to try a new load for my Win. Model 70, 7mm Rem Mag. I used to use Barnes BTX, but the price for a box of Barnes defeats the purpose of saving $ by reloading. I worked up a hand load with a 140 grain AB that is moving at 3160 fps. Prints beautifully (0.5 MOA or better) out at 100 yards. Can't wait to see how they perform when I throw them at meat and bone this fall.

The AccuBond is a fine bullet, but the penetration is not what I expected it to be. I have found most of them in the animal. Some of them flared out instead of mushrooming. None the less, they will do a fine job.

I have hunted extensively for moose B.C. and have had excellent, consistent, and deadly results with the 250gr. partition RL 19 (.338 win. mag) That bullet has never let me down, so it was difficult changing from the partition to any other bullet. When the AB came out, it looked great on paper and was advertised with ballistic tip accuracy, and partition like expansion properties. Curiosity got the better of me, so last season I loaded my Savage 16 w/22" barrel using RL 19 (from Nos. book) getting between 2870 and 2930 fps. and excellent accuracy (with almost all powders I tested) While hunting Idaho, I shot a 210 lbs whitetail buck at 140 yds and the deer ran 40 feet and piled up. The AB went through both lungs and into the side hill ; very little meat loss, and spot on target. So, I will use the Accubond again this year for deer in both .270 and 7mm-08. and am thinking about the 225 gr. AB for next seasons moose hunt. Nosler just makes darn good products that perform as advertised.Early on (1985) I had bloodshot problems with the ballistic tip w/ 130gr in my .270, but moving up to the partition solved that problem. Now Nosler has introduced the "Ballistic Tip Hunting Bullet" I have yet to try. So many good Nos. bullets, so little time. PS. I used RL 19 as it had a bit more velocity than Varget, but both had sub-MOA accuracy as did all other powders I tested, save for H414. But, H414 shoots fine in my other guns.
