These boxes are great! I can put well over 100 .40 rounds in this. Plenty enough for an IDPA match. I label them, and when it's time to head to the range, I just grab a box or two and throw them in my range bag.

Use these to store cast ...

The MTM boxes are solid ...

The MTM boxes are solid and sturdy. The lid locks in tight and won't open up accidentally. I filled them up with 22 LR and dropped them from my desk onto the tile floor to see if they would spill open. I only did it a few times but they didnt open up and I am confident that they are very secure. I use these MTM boxes to store my loose 22 LR ammo that I buy in the 550 rd bulk boxes. The UB-36 will hold approximately 475 loose rounds of 22 LR. The UB-16 will hold approximately 215 rounds. I cut off the lid from the 22 LR bulk pack boxes and tape it to the inside of the lid of the MTM box so I remember which brand is in there.

Bought a case of these ...

Bought a case of these several years ago and still have half of them in the original box. I use them for everything. Very rugged. seals tight and even being kept in a shed in SE La with hot temperatures and occaisionally freezing temps none have cracked. If you buy bullets in bulk these are the ticket.

I sometimes order handgun ...

I sometimes order handgun bullets in bulk, like the Hornady HAP pistol bullets and cast lead bullets. Some vendors will ship them loose, either in a plastic bag, or a flimsy cardboard carton. These boxes are just the ticket for storage of these bullets, as well as small tools, reloading press parts (shell holders, etc), and other loose stuff around my reloading bench. And, they last! In fact, I will be ordering more!

I have using these ...

I have using these utility boxes for several years and I haven't worn one out yet. I use the UB-36 box extensively for .45 caliber cast bullets. I stack the bullets base down after lubing to keep lube off the nose and base. Each layer of bullets fit in the box in an eight by eight configuration. Depending on bullet weight (height), I can get between three and five layers in each box. If I have room on top, I can also lay some down across the top layer. If the locater tabs on the lid get in my way, I just shave them off with my grinding wheel.I would personally prefer that the latch on the lid wasn't recessed on utility boxes as it takes up some volume and doesn't allow a perfectly square space inside the box.Absolutely all these boxes from Frankford Arsenal are great value for the money.
