Frankford Arsenal Ammunition Boxes are great for storing reloaded or factory loaded ammunition. Available in a variety of sizes to fit most calibers and various see-through colors for easy identification of different loads. These plastic boxes offer the shooter a higher level of protection than cardboard ammunition boxes and will protect ammunition from dust, dirt and rain.

Frankford Arsenal Box #501 for 9mm. - This is the classic case of a round peg in a square hole. Unlike the cheap molded 50 round tray that comes in a box of bullets from the manufacturer (that you would usually throw away), this box is a bad fit for the bullets and the cheap tray provides a better fit, and it shouldn't! Whereas you can pick one bullet out of the cheap tray at a time, you cant with the 501. Also, the manufacturer shipping tray lets the bullet fit in the hole to the bottom and in general a good for what it was intended for, shipping tray. This F.A. 501 9mm box needs redesigning. The inside of the box has square spaces for the round bullets and not all of the spaces are large enough or exactly square to accommodate a round. You have to press several of the bullet down into the square space to get it to go to the bottom of the box. A few bullets stopped such that the lid would not close, press harder! Trying to pick out a single bullet is next to impossible unless you have fingers likened to tweezers. You have to turn the box over to get the bullets out and this has but one result, all the bullets come out, that dont stick in the box. I have the MTM brand of this Box, the P-50-9 and it is worse. This is the lesser of the two evils but neither is as good as they could be. Ill sell the ones I have at the shop and just make do with the manufacturers cheap plastic tray in the box.

Effective and inexpensive. What more could you ask for? Others are more durable, but more expensive. Given how I use them, they will last 100 years.

I bought this product because it was listed as suitable for 25 ACP orund storage and carry but found it is slightly oversize for the purpose.
By cutting up the plastic carrier that came with some commercial rounds I was able to better fit the Frankford Arsnal 501 box to safely and quietly carry my 25 ACP reloads. I will continue to use the boxes as modified and recommend the manufacturer's line o fboxes to friends.

These do NOT come with ...

These do NOT come with labels like the MTM boxes. That is enough for me to never purchase these again. They are also less opaque and stack less neatly than the MTM. You get what you pay for.

Great little holders. I ...

Great little holders. I use them for my 9mm bullets. The only complaint is that the 9mm's seem a little tight in the box. Great for helping with spills but a little hard to pick up one at a time out of the box! Note color did not match the website picture but didn't affect functionality.

Just received 20 9mm ...

Just received 20 9mm boxes. I loaded the boxes with factory 115 grain ball, factory 147 grain hollow points and 115 grain jhp ammunition.All of the rounds fit perfectly in the boxes with no problems. I will be ordering more of these excellent boxes for future use.

I've used the Frankford ...

I've used the Frankford cases and the MTM cases & these are the differences between them from my experience. 1. You can't see through the Frankford cases. They are much darker than the picture. You can see through the MTM cases. 2. Frankford case has the latch recessed into the case and makes it easier to stack in double rows vs. the MTM where the latch protrudes. But even though the Frankford latch is recessed, the case is a bit deeper and a hair wider so the brass does not stick when you turn them over to empty them out. 3. MTM comes with handy self-stick labels and the Frankford does not. In conclusion, if you can deal with not being able to see what is in the case and you don't care about the labels, the Frankford cases are a good value.

These are the handiest ...

These are the handiest little ammo boxes around. They hold the bullets ready without having to fumble with opening new cardboard boxes (remember how stiff that is?) and maybe getting paper cuts on your fingers. I now have a solution to my perpetual dilemma. They stack better than several different size cardboard containers too. Great service and products. THANKS CTD!
