I have a Remington 700 with a Douglas barrel and with this superb ammunition I've shot groups under 1 inch at 400 yards. To be exact, groups range from .875 to .966 at 400 yards. At 100 yards it is always sub quarter MOA. I have to say for the price of this ammo, the only thing that comes close is Black Hills. Both are excellent choices in the 168 Match. Save your time and energy and give it a try.

I shot this ammo in my ...

I shot this ammo in my M1A standard model from Springfield. The ammo shot 1 MOA even when the barrel was hot from many rounds and never shifted Point of Impact even when so hot my sling melted to barrel. Wonderful ammo that does all I could ever need out of my rifle.

I Bought two boxes of ...

I Bought two boxes of this ammunition #8097 308 win 168gr BTHP and did a side by side comparison at the range with some Federal match w/ 168gr BTHP and it clearly out shot the Federal stuff. This ammo has a more consistent recoil than the Federal and patterns between .70 and .75 MOA. The Federal stuff shoots .75 to 1 MOA out of my Remington 700. Buy it! If you have a Remington 700, you will not be disappointed.

In two different target ...

In two different target rifles, my experiences are as follows:1. Ruger 77VT - Accuracy is fair at 100 and 200 yard ranges (I have not tested longer ranges). 100 yard center-to-center measurements on three shot groups are typically .75" to just under 1" at ~.98". HOWEVER, rounds must be individually loaded into the magazine, as they do not withdraw more than about 1", and must be manually extracted-- not a huge problem since this is match target ammo, and speed is not an issue for most target shooters, but might be annoying to some. I was concerned, and had the rifle checked for function-- gunsmith said the manner in which the extraction rim is shaped on the brass does not work well in controlled feed rifles (such as Rugers, and I think Winchester 70s?). Indeed, side to side, it is different in shape than the base of, for example, federal gold match brass, which feeds fine in the same rifle.2. Remington 700 PSS 26" - Very good accuracy. Center-to-center 3 shot groups from .5" to .8", and more commonly at the low end of the range at 100 yards. Feeding is flawless in the Remington 700-- no sign of the problems I've experienced in controlled feel rifles.I would like to give this a 4 or 5 star rating, but the feed problems on my own and others' rifles at the range are annoying and uncharacteristic for Hornady!

This is the best ammo at ...

This is the best ammo at any price. My Savage 10FCP averages 0.45 MOA through 400 Yards and .78 MOA through 900 Yards. My rifle is factory stock except for a good bedding job. Black Hills Match 168 gr HPBT gave me close results but I ended up with more flyers. If you are reading this review.......stop now and buy as much of this ammo as your budget will allow as you will not be disappointed.

This is the sister to the ...

This is the sister to the factory round that my FN A3G-SPR prefers. The barrel has a 1-12 twist and the chamber is cut for 168 Gr. Rounds. This ammunition consistently shoots between and inch groups at 100 yards. My rifle actually prefers the Hornady A-Max Match ammunition (when it can be found) to this round and that almost always goes under inches. My rifle has the controlled round feed (Winchester Model 70 action) but has not had any problems as the previous reviewer mentioned above about either feeding or extracting. This ammunition works very well in 600 yard F-Class matches, however its performance at 1000 yards is hit or miss (literally) as about one of every five or six rounds tend to go subsonic and keyhole in the cardboard. This however does not detract from the quality of this round as I have found out that most factory 165 & 168 grain rounds do the same thing, those are best not used past about 800 yards. If you are planning to shoot a .308 at 1000 yards buy 175 grain ammunition or reload to a slightly higher velocity.

This stuff outshoots ...

This stuff outshoots Federal gold medal by 3x. I was printing 3/8ths inch groups out of a semi-auto ar10 (POF308) with this ammo. I could shoot better if I had a higher power scope.

Shot a .500 to.750 ...

Shot a .500 to.750 ,100yd. group with a Rem.700 Sps Varmint 26'' brl. 1:12 twist. Just killed a buck at 155yds with this ammo. Inside entrance hole was bigger than a quarter, exit hole was the size of a silver dollar, and if you add the splintering, it would be half the size of a dollar bill. Dropped in his tracks. Wow!!!Am impressed.

This doesn't shoot well ...

This doesn't shoot well in my Savage 10FCP McMillan. Attempted several loads with Varget powder and groups were 2+ inches at 100 yds. This Savage shoots consistent 1/2 inch groups with Sierra Match Kings. All guns are different, so don't let my review discourage you. Quality of bullets seems top notch, just cant get a decent group with my rifle.
