I installed one of these on an AR-15 with a Magpul CTR stock and a USGI 1.25-inch web sling. It fits nicely and is a quality product. One of the other reviews indicated that the metal end of a 1.25-inch USGI web sling won't fit through the ring on this swivel, but this is not the case. The "trick" is to rotate the metal end of the sling about 30 degrees and slip it through the ring until the leading side of the sling's metal end clears the ring. This is quite easy and the rest of the sling slides smoothly through the ring. The fact that the sling end won't slip through the ring in a "normal" direction could even be considered an advantage since it keeps the sling from slipping out of the ring unintentionally.

This is a really heavy duty sling swivel - very beefy. I was pleased and surprised at how nice this swivel is. It is being installed on a rather heavy long gun and it is perfect for the job. Everything about this swivel is built with extra strength and load bearing charicteristics. It is perfect for the VTAC padded sling.

It fits the RRA Operator ...

It fits the RRA Operator stock well and the fit & finish is excelent. My main gripe is that it really doesn't fit a sling that is 1 1/4" wide well. The max inside distance is 1.254" at the widest portion of the ring, not at the flat of the ring. The flat of the ring is only 1" wide. I cannot get my USMC GI sling into the thing, the GI sling has that metal edge on the end and will not fit into the ring.The Blackhawk QD (regular type) measures 1.318" at the inside of the ring and 1.2" at the flat.Otherwise, this is a great QD swivel.
