I've used the 'Spacemaster' in all types of weather and it has never fogged or been effected by rain. It is bright, clear and nearly distortion free...something VERY rare to find in an optic in this price bracket. On a clear day I easily see .224 bullet holes in the black @ 200 yards. .308 @ 300 yards. The Zoom lens is very smooth to operate. All in all, I am very satisfied with the performance of this 'spotter'.

A very well made scope. ...

A very well made scope. It has fully multicoated optics, and it really shows. The scope demonstrated a lot better sharpness and clarity, with less distortion and hue than the Leupold Sequoia that I was also considering in this price range. No problem viewing 30 caliber bullet holes at 300 yards.The focus knob is conveniently placed. Rubber armor is very nice. The included tripod with micro adjustments is not bad at all.I haven't used this scope in rain so I can't comment on its water resistance or Rainguard.Long eye relief (better than any other scope I played with) is a big big plus! If you remove the rubber eye guard, you preserve full field of view at 60x while wearing eye protection! I only wish the stock eyepiece guard was adjustable, so that the scope can accommodate you with or without glasses without having to remove/put back the rubber piece every time.The eyepiece can be changed, by the way - Bushnell makes fixed power eyepieces that go up to 60x that fit this scope.Bottom line: an excellent scope for the price. Good luck finding another Japanese-made scope of this quality in this price range!
