A quality bullet that can stand high velocities unlike most soft lead bullets. I use these in my S&W 6" 686 357 Mag and +P 38 spl loads. My heavy Mag load over my chrony read 1320fps which has 611 ft pounds of Energy!! This is a hunting load............do not shoot this inside a house. If you want fast lead, this is the bullet, you can't get any better for accuracy and price.

First lead bullets I have used. Usually run Sierra jacketed, but these are top-notch. Load like a breeze and shoot well in my GP100 (.38 SPL loads) with Tite Group.

Oregon Trail Laser Cast 158 grain bullets are my favorite 357 magnum bullet. I load these to 1130 FPS using AA#7 and can shoot snuff cans off of rails at 50 meters all day long (from a rest) out of a Ruger Blackhawk Bisley with a 7 1/2" barrel. Clean up is easy as these bullets do not lead my barrel even after 100 + shots fired.

These bullets are truly a first-class product! They are easy to load, and can be pushed to relatively high velocities for lead bullets. They truly are *hard* cast. Best of all (in my opinion), there was practically no leading in my 357 Magnum's barrel after I shot 200+ rounds. I strongly suggest people buy Oregon Trail bullets, they are money well spent.

As a company, Oregon Trail produces the best lead cast bullets I have found. They always perform consistently by showing predictable tight groups. When shooting lead, you could not find and easier bullet to clean up after. Barrels take little work in comparison to others that I have tried. I enjoy shooting them also in 45 ACP and 45 Long Colt.

I like the Lasercast bullets. I've used both their 125gr and 158 gr SWC bullets. I find them easy to load, clean to handle and accurate. I find almost no leading of the bore. All loads I've tried so far have been mild .38 Special loads in the 800-900fps fange.

This bullet is great. Not messy. Bevelled at the base, (reduces belling of the case to make your cases last longer), and will NOT lead the barrel at Jacketed bullets speeds. This is a perfect bullet for those shooters who like to carry a handgun and a rifle of the same caliber, and use the same cartridge belt. .357,.44 mag,45 colt,etc. and want to use the same load. This bullet will not lead up in the rifle (at the higher velocity) even the 24" carbines. Two suggestions: Use a powder that fills the case at safe loading pressure levels-when shooting, the gun is always in a horizontal position (or should be)a powder that does not take up much space in the case will allow the primer flash to flow over the powder to the bullet- no lead bullet can stand the heat level of a primer without melting a little or producing lead vapor. Second-clean your bore better than you ever have, then squirt some of your favorite moly in the barrel. Keep this practice up and you will notice better accuracy, and makes a whole lot easier to clean. There are a lot of good powders out there, but one powder stands out in having all the parameters I mentioned. Alliant 2400. This powder has been well known to knowledgeable cast bullet shooters for decades. If old Elmer Keith was still alive. he would agree. Remember always, always, always start out with the minimum loads in the most current loading data. Use a heavy crimp also.

These are good uniform bullets. You should stay with either slow burning powders or lighter loads. Using Hogden HS-6 in a heavy load in my GP100 I had massive leading.

I loaded 50 of these at .38 Spl velocities for my wife's S&W 66 and ended up shooting them in my 686 this fall. Yes, they leaded my barrel. I suspect it is the lube. To get lube to stay in the groove in all climates and shipping conditions and not mess our fingers, it has to be pretty hard. I personally have had bad results with hard lubes (red, green, blue) and use a soft lube for my own casting. I don't spend hours scouring my revolver, I shoot a few jacketed rounds before cleaning and save a lot of strokes with the rod. Pricing comments are not allowed here but the "cost" of these has increased 120% since 2007. My moulds and Lyman lube have come out of storage.
