These bullets feature soft lead cores and precision-drawn jackets fluted over 90% of their length for rapid expansion and complete disruption, even in cartridges with modest velocities. Speer's TNT Bullets also offer a minimum bearing surface which creates a bullet with a long nose and trajectories that rival those of bullets of similar weight, making these the perfect varmint eliminating bullet. This is not loaded ammunition.

Works great in my 1:11 ...

Works great in my 1:11 6.8 SPC. Easy loading, functions perfect, low recoil. Great for action rifle. Not extensively tested 100 yd accuracy but I got several less than 0.5" groups at 100 yds with H322 and SSA brass.

Good thing I wasn't ...

Good thing I wasn't trying to get pin point accuracy out of these. The ogive on the 100 I ordered varied from bullet to bullet so much that the COL on my loaded round varied as much as .010". 85gr TSX's and 110 Noslers run through the same die set (Hornady New Dimension 6.8SPC) are all within .0005" I'll keep them for my HD gun, they'll never see any field use. I expected a better product for the price.

Speer makes great bullets ...

Speer makes great bullets but it's been my experience that this one doesn't work very well in the 270 Win. In my Ruger 77 it did not shoot very accurately at all (2 inch groups, five shots, 100 yards) even though the same rifle would shoot 3/4 inch groups with Speer's 100 gr. HP all day long. Also, they aren't nearly as explosive on varmints as the Speer 100 gr. HP. They still won't save the hide on a coyote though. If only the 100 Gr HP bullets were offered in big boxes like these are...

These 90 grain Speer ...

These 90 grain Speer TNT's have proven to be the most accurate of all the .277 I've tried in my 6.8 SPC Ruger Mini-14; in my experience they're even better than the excellent 90 grain Sierra bullets.

I have used these 90 grain bullets with my model 70 and with the proper (hot load) am able to drill holes at 100 yds. they are not for saving hides, but do literally disintegrate on impact, perfect!

I've had excellent ...

I've had excellent results using this bullet in my 6.8 SPCII 12.5" and 18" bbl'd AR's. I've pushed them as high as 3000fps w/RE7 in the 18" w/out over pressure signs, but have the best accuracy @ 0.75" consistently and 2943fps. This load also produces the best accuracy in my 12.5" and averages 2700-2725fps. I gain about 100fps w/H4198, but the accuracy is not as good as the RE7. I've used them w/devastating results on Prairie Dogs out to 400yrds and aim on giving them a shot at the 'yotes come fall. By far my favorite economical (cheap) varmint 6.8spc round.
