While unlike other .22 ...

While unlike other .22 patches I've used these actually fit it comes at a cost of durability. I've had multiple patches tear easily when trying to insert with a jag, not worth the effort.

I bought these to use on ...

I bought these to use on a 17 HMR. They work fine as long as you use a jag. That is the only way to go, anyway. With a .22, I have found that if you use 2 patches (stacked over each other), and with a jag, they work very well. I would never recommend a slotted tip for these. I highly recommend a bore guide with any cleaning rod.

These gotta be the worst ...

These gotta be the worst patches I've ever tried. Maybe they work okay with a jag (other reviewers seem to think so), but with a slotted tip these barely touch the bore surface as they're pushed through a .22. They're tiny, perhaps better suited for a .17 cal. They're also REAL THIN, I can see through them. I threw away almost a full pack after one cleaning. Cotton is the only way to go; if you don't like lint in the barrel, find a cotton patch with a good weave to it.

VERY small. Cannot use these on an eye puller, had to wrap them around my bore brush. Not sure if I'd buy again.

Some might think that ...

Some might think that something as simple as a cleaning patch would be simple and worth a review... well, I disagree.I have used at least 6 different kinds of cleaning batches: square cotton, square cotton from another manufacturer, round cotton, square synthetic... All of the cotton patches that I have used for .22 (.22 LR and .223 Remington) were too big. I have damaged cleaning rods trying to force the patch down the barrel. No doubt, I ended up damaging the barrel as well. I have used round, cotton patches on .30 cal rifle - the seem to work well, BUT all cotton patches that I have used leave behind threads. They often leave threads or smaller debris in the bore... not a good thing.The synthetic patches do not leave debris and are not too thick for .22's.I like the fact the GunSlick patches some in larger quantities - it is the only way to go.I do tend to like the round cleaning patches more. They seem to have more even coverage... but this is probably an insignificant factor. Pro's:- large quantities- correctly sized- leave no debrisCon's:- not round

These work great for my ...

These work great for my 17HMR. Fit well with jag, and doesn't leave lint in the barrel, which is probably my biggest problem with standard patches. I'll be buying more in other sizes.
