this slide broke on me ...

this slide broke on me after about 200 rounds, the end broke off. I was able to weld it back together with a mig welder, and am back to loading. Ordered another here and called hornady and there sending me out another one, free of charge so I will have two as back ups and will re-weld as necessary. But this is one of the weak links in the Hornady AP lnl press.

I thought that I had broken 5 slides LG. & SM. all you have to do is stick them back together again with super glue in the pin hole! Will work better than new!! Before you glue it be sure its not a little out of time and slowly lower handle watching the roller on the slide. If it starts to pull out of the slide bend the guide wire so it won't continue all the way up & down, then glue it being careful not to glue the wheel! You should be good to go.

Should probably be considered an expendable part. I have used up two in the course of 5000 9mm and 380 acp rounds. The pulley shaft gets bent if things work loose. Stop every 500 rounds and tighten things.
