These scopes were designed specifically for the 17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire (HMR) cartridge and use trajectory compensation technology similar to that found in military and tactical scopes. The elevation drum increments are precisely calculated to compensate for the drop of 17 HMR ammunition, but will work great for any flat shooting cartridge. Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Complementing Scope

After doing a lot of research, I was hesitant to go with a BSA. Some rave about the manufacturer, others wish they never invested the monies. I purchased this scope to mount on my Marlin 917VST with the thumbhole stock. The image is crisp, turrets have positive clicks (resettable), no problem with the eye relief, and ranged the parallax to be dead on accurate. Shooting for about 20 yrs, I have accumulated several different manufacturers' scopes in this price range and quality. In my opinion, this scope has the most bells and whistles, and has the greatest bang for the buck. I will buy another.

This scope is the hardest ...

This scope is the hardest scope that I have ever tried to shoot. It has one of the worst eye relief problems and is almost impossible to adjust for rapid recovery. You spend almost all of your time trying to get a good eye relief. If you do it shoots great and is dead on but it is just too hard to shoot quickly. If you are at the range and shooting off a bench it is a little easier then when in the field tryng to shoot varmints. By the time you get your eye relief right you have lost the chance at the varmint that you wanted to shoot in the first place.I would strongly recommend that you just get a good 3x9 scope as you will not be shooting much further then about 150 yards with a 17 HMR especially if you have any wind.

This is a good looking scope. I zeroed this scope on a very overcast day and had trouble seeing through the scope. I would not recomend this scope if you are going to use it in low light conditions. I am very disappointed with this scope.

This is a great scope for the 17 HMR. However, the eye relief sucks. My savage 93 R 17, this scope, and Hornady 17 grain VMAX rounds can make a .5 inch group at 100 yards all day long. When I'm driving home though I feel like I'm going blind because I have had to squint so much.

What a great Scope for the 17 HMR. Placed it on my Ruger 77/17 took it out today. First shot at 100 yards hit at 3 o'clock 2 inch right, dialed 8 click left and she was right there in the bull. It was a breeze to sight in. If you have a 17 HMR this is the scope to have. And the price is right.
