22/45 Threaded with Sights - Won't Fit

Looks like a good product but it is too long for the threaded barrel model with sights. The base hits the front sight. I suspect it won't work on the Lite versions either. If you remove the front sight it will work fine.

This base works well with all types of standard Weaver rings. The crosscuts (though round) have ample room. Since this is for a 22 the bearing surface is enough to keep things from shifting. Leave it to Ruger to figure out how to put a square peg in a round hole.
