Accurate2495 is a single-base, extruded rifle powder that was developed for the 308 Win and can be used over a wide range of rifle calibers. It is a very popular powder for 308 Win. NRA High Power shooting disciplines, as well as heavy bullet 223 Rem target applications. 2495 is a versatile powder with excellent ignition characteristics that provides excellent shot-to-shot consistency.

Warnings from the Manufacturer:

Do not exceed the loads displayed in the reloaders guide.

Never mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source.

Never substitute any smokeless powder for Black Powder or any Black Powder substitute.

I load this powder in my ...

I load this powder in my 308 and 30-06 (with 150 grain bullets). Both rifles are factory, and both shoot 1/2 MOA with this powder. I can buy this in the 8lb size and load up hundreds of rounds that are dead Accurate..

Found AA 2495 produced by ...

Found AA 2495 produced by far the best groups in my .223 Remington when shooting the 60 gr v-max. Surprisingly it turned out to be the top producer in my .338 federal as well. I have found AA2495 to be accurate and very versatile and I always try it first when developing a new load.

Bought as a substitute ...

Bought as a substitute for IMR 4895, because it was impossible to get. It's a fine substitute, though still working on that perfect load. Says on the container that its good for .308 and .30-06 and it works great for that. My guns seem to be as happy as with this as they were with 4895. Either way I have 16 pounds to burn. Money well spent. Very versatile powder.

I use AA2495 for loading ...

I use AA2495 for loading the 45-70 in my Pedersoli Kodiak double rifle. I wish to hold pressures under 28K and still get high velocities (1800fps/415gr cast GC) for hunting big game. 2495 does this with uniformity and full cases.
