This is my number 1 ...

This is my number 1 powder choice for, get ready for it....my .416 Weatherby Magnum. Yessir, whether it is 400 grain solids or soft points, it doesn't matter. My rifle prints near one hole groups at 100 yards with this powder. Had I not gotten a pound of this stuff as a gift, I would have never considered it for this rifle. It has beaten all the others though.

As the product says it is ...

As the product says it is great in 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum, I load 160's Sierra GameKings for my 7mm and get averaged 1" groups out to 100 yards. With my .300 I load 200 gr. GameKings and with this powder with a 4 different 5 shot groups I averaged groups under a half inch.... Look no further this is the powder to have if you load for a 7mm Mag or a .300 Mag....

In addition to the accuracy noted by the previous reviewers, I'm impressed by the charge-weight efficiency of Reloader 22. I did an analysis of a number of heavy magnum powder loads for the .338 Lapua Magnum, and Reloader 22 came out on top in terms of "gas mileage": it produced the highest velocities for the weight of powder used.

My 300 Win mag, and my 270 just LOVE this powder. Accurate, consistent and produces top drawer velocities. It also feeds very well in my powder dispenser.

I use R22 to load my 300 ...

I use R22 to load my 300 WSM. This powder is consistent in both velocity and accuracy. It's also very clean burning. I've had great luck with R19 in this caliber as well. Frankly, both of those Alliant powders have proven very good for accuracy and consistency in a variety of calibers that I've loaded.

RELOADER 22 kept me from ...

RELOADER 22 kept me from throwing a $4000.00 ARNOLD APOLLO Rifle in the White River Murdo, SD. I had a custom rifle built several years ago by the now defunked ARNOLD ARMS COMPANY. The Receive was CNCed with 4160 alloy, as well as the bolt, also. This was called the "Apollo Action". The rifle barrel was a 30" Pac Nor with a 1:8 twist (anything "faster" would not stabilize the bullet). The Chamber was cut for a Win Mag 264 case, but was bored (or should I say Overbored) for a 6mm bullet (named the "6/264"). The two bullets that shoot SUPERBLY were the Sierra 6mm 107 HPBT VLD and the Hornady 105 AMAX VDL. Now for the rest of the story. I tired many slow burning powders in this Wild Cat. When the smoke cleared, Reloader 22 was the hands down winner. A charge metered in the mid-60 grain range produced a velocity of 3400'/sec. Thank you Sierra Bullets for helping me calculate a SAFE LOAD). How did it shoot? With a Nightforce X42 scope and the second shot out of a cold barrel Mr. P-dog (FORMALLY of the Rosebud Indian Reservation) seemed to go all to pieces over the accuracy delivered by RELOADER 22. If I would have stop short of trying RL-22 and only used several other notable slow burning powders such as H-1000, H4831, this $4000.00 Wildcat Rifle would have only been good for CLUBING the P'dogs to death!!!!! That is until some RL-22 came into my life!!! I have never experimented with a series of powders where one powder dominated the others so completely. As of the kill? The two witnesses were (both Varmint Hunter Magazine members) using a pair of Leica Geovids for ranging and an 80 power Leica Spotting Scope to count the parts. The official distance the Laser reported was 1011 yards. I do not think I could have accomplished a kill at that distance without the First Class Quality of RL-22. I now use RL-22 in my .30 and .338 caliber bench guns when using mid-to-heavy weight bullets as per the data from the manual. I am sold completely on this powder.

I was looking for a ...

I was looking for a powder for a 300 RUM tried IMR 4350 and AA 4350 and AA 8700 and finally tried RL25. None gave me the accuracy I required. Went to RL 22 - got outstanding groups of 3/4" to 1 moa. good powder for large mags.
