Product Information

For over 50 years, Morgan adjustable recoil pads have been used by shooters to help tame recoil and have been appreciated for the style and distinctive appearance the pads add to a long gun. All Morgan pads have the same amount of adjustment: rise is 5/8", drop is 3/4" and the pad adds 1-1/4" of length to the stock. The included aluminum buttplate comes predrilled and must be trimmed to fit an individual stock.

Works exactly as ...

Works exactly as advertised, is well-made, and relatively inexpensive. Bolted this onto a CAR15 collapsible stock by CAA to lower the butt pad into my shoulder and move the cheek weld back on the CAA cheek rest. Needed to trim off a bit of the base around the edges with a razor, that's about it for installation. I believe the adjuster nut inside the unit is aluminum, but the rest of it unit is plastic and rubber, which looks/works fine for a synthetic stock application. Lowering the stock's shoulder weld dramatically improved the rifle's ergonomics for me. Can't speak to recoil reduction since the CAR doesn't really kick, but it's harder than a squishy Decelerator pad, so would likely not work as well as some of the softer pads in this regard. I do wish the butt had more of a slight curvature to it, but it gets 5 stars for being on the money. Will purchase one for my STG-2000C, whose ergonomics are not much different than the CAR.
