This is the perfect tool for target and silhouette shooters, gunsmiths and hunters who want to adjust trigger pull weight accurately and easily. Lyman's Electronic Digital Trigger Pull Gage utilizes state of the art strain gauge technology which provides accuracy to +/- 1/10 oz over a working range of 0 to 12 lbs. The gauge is equipped with a large, easy-to-read LCD display and is push button operated for zero, clear and averaging functions. Can be converted to read in kilograms and is capable of taking multiple readings and giving average weight for the string of tests. Powered by one 9 volt battery (not included). Includes vinyl storage case.

I have used both RCBS models as well as an NRA approved scale set for setting triggers now for over 10 years. This gauge by Lyman is by far the best of any I have tried. After comparing the Lyman to the weighted NRA model. The weights recorded by both scales are identical. The big difference is with the NRA set it takes you 3-4 minutes to get an accurate measurement while fumbling with the specific weights, making sure the rifle is aligned properly, etc. With the Lyman, it is INSTANT!! No more guessing or hoping you're doing it right. It's darn near foolproof. The averages button is a great feature, the automatic shutoff is a great feature as well. I can't say enough good things about this thing (Unless they want to start paying me for my testimony!!) Buy one now....You wont be disappointed.

I was really looking forward to this trigger gage. I have always used the old school ones. Well, I put one on backorder. It came in and it was defective. The screen just kept flashing. Two different batteries - still a no go. I sent it back and Midway sent me another one. The second one shows up and I hook the battery and it works. Too bad the battery door won't close. Also, the battery compartment is so tight it is very difficult to get a battery in without pinching the wires. I am not going to try a third one, I'll keep looking for a higher quality product. Lyman really let me down on this purchase - check your quality control guys.

I have used this trigger pull gage for about 5 years now and have nothing but good things to say about it. It's one of those tools where none of your buddies will want to pay the money to own the fancy-pants electronic gage, but they all want to borrow yours when you get it because they know it's superior to the old spring gages. The Lyman digital tool gives you fast, repeatable measurements (within the limits of your trigger's inherent consistency, of course) and the ability to rotate the pull arm at multiple angles gives you some flexibility to compensate for the shape of your gun stock and making a clean, accurate pull. I have used mine to measure triggers set down in the single-digit ounces with no trouble. One set of batteries lasts forever in this thing. In fact, I don't believe I've ever changed mine since I got it and I used it just a month or so back. In the end, I would definitely buy this tool again.

The quality is not very good, battery door will not stay closed, when you remove the battery connector is so tight it ruins battery. It does seem to work ok, but quality seems to be typical chinese.

This is the best gauge I have ever used. I had my old lyman for 8 years and it stopped giving average. I contacted Lyman and was told to let them check it. I was happily surprised when they mailed me a NEW gauge. This is real customer service. The only guage I will ever use,,,easy,accurate,& service is beyond the call of duty. I will always use Lyman,,also their load manual I have used since 1978 and only manual I load from. What they say is what you get. Very accurate also and gives approx pressures on loads. Lyman is GREAT products. I ALWAYS TRUST LYMAN'S products. You won't be sorry you choose lyman guages or manuals.

Spent the extra money to get the digital gauge. Definitely worth the money! Accurate to .10 oz. Setup is easy and the display is easy to use. Hopefully this will never break, but if it does I'll buy another. Only down side is that it takes a 9v battery which is not included.

Didn't work out of the box. Seemed to be bad connections. Digital readings would flash on for an instant then go blank. Would not stay on and would not give any readings. I could tell that Lyman is using a different vendor to make these. The plastic quality is sub-par compared to a friend's of mine. He bought his about 10 years ago. Seems chincey overall. Going for a refund.

Looks like most reviews are good. Leave it up to me to get a dud. The positive battery terminal has no grip, (creates loose connection, maybe cheap metal) and the average readings are off about half the time. Sent it back. If this is a good one, where do I find a super good one?
