Product Information

This Timney Rifle Trigger provides the shooter with time-proven Timney quality and the fabled "breaking a glass rod" crisp trigger pull. The model 631 (blue) and 635 (nickel plated) is designed to fit all Savage bolt-action center fire rifles manufactured since 1977 (excluding those rifles equipped with the AccuTriggerTM ). The trigger pull weight can be adjusted from 1 1/2 - 4 pounds. In addition it is fully adjustable for sear engagement (creep) and over-travel. EDM cut, CNC machined from solid steel. Case hardened to ensure a lifetime of trouble free operation.

Very disappointing, after ...

Very disappointing, after using other Timney triggers. The first one of these was defective. The second one worked properly, but not very well. The top-end pull was considerably heavier than 4 lbs., and to get a trigger pull less than 3 lbs. I had to back the pull-weight screw out quite a bit--more than halfway out of the socket. I was not comfortable backing it out any further. The pull is nice and crisp, and overtravel is easy to get rid of. If you can live with a 3 lb. pull, this trigger will work for you. But if you want anything lighter, it's kind of a crapshoot.

i have been happy with timney triggers in the past but not on this rifle.it installed easy and the adjustments were easy.the problem i had was once you got the pull weight set the safety would not work.i made several attempts adjusting and rechecking but still no go.i have a rifle basics and no problem but wanted a little lighter adjustable trigger.this was not it.this is an older model 110 not sure if that makes a difference but should not.

I put this trigger on my Savage 110 in .270. I hated the factory trigger for which I have been using for about 10 years. This was my first "gunsmithing" project minus putting a new Boyd's stock on this rifle. It was very easy to install, probably took 20-30 minutes including take-down of the stock and reassembly. This trigger has made a new gun out of my .270. I am much more accurate with this trigger due to no creep and predictable trigger pull. The factory trigger had a lot of creep and took about 6-8 pounds to pop (ridiculous!) and I pulled a lot of shots, NOT ANYMORE!!! This trigger is also easily adjustable! I think this is a must have upgrade for any shooter! I will likely be putting one of these triggers in all of my future rifles.

The Timney trigger was very easy to install. It did take a little time to fine tune (45min start to finish), but everything was super clear & detailed in the instructions. Trigger breaks clean, no creep, & no over travel. Great product!

I purchased this trigger for my 12 year old son's Savage Model 11 243 rifle. The stock trigger was wearing out his finger due to the high trigger weight pull. I looked at the stock trigger adjustment and I was just not impressed with it or it's design. I decided to purchase the Timney trigger and give it a try. The installation was pretty easy after I figured out how to do all of the adjustments. I am very pleased with the trigger and I hope my son will be do. It breaks very crisp and no longer has a long travel. I do not have a trigger pull scale but I do know it is 10 times better than the stock trigger!!! I would recommend this product to others. After my son shoots his rifle I am pretty sure I will be purchasing me one for my Savage Axis 223 rifle. If you are looking for an alternative to your stock trigger Timney is the way to go in my opinion!!! Happy Shooting...

Purchased this trigger from my favorite shooting sports company and once again Midway came through! Took about 25 mins from start to final adjustments. After taking my savage 111 to the range and firing it I was amazed at how crisp the trigger was shot after shot. Thanks to Midway and Timney from a faithful lifetime customer!!!!

I have this trigger in my Model 116 30-06 and it works very well. To make any further adjustments only requires removing the 2 screws holding the trigger guard. Adjusted so light the first time you barely touch the trigger without tripping it, fixed that to where it feels like about 1 1/2 lbs. Love it!!

Put this on my model 10fp (pre accu-trigger)WOW! Before this I could hang my rifle from the trigger and it would not trip. Now it's scary light (I adjusted it too light!) the safety still works as it should with the trigger being too light for my liking(and I like it light).I'm going to re-adjust it and lock-tight it. This job took me about a half hour to install and adjust. I took my time and it was enjoyable and easy.I'm very happy with this trigger. Why 4 stars? This is my first trigger job so I didn't feel qualified to give it 5 stars.

Great instructions. I've never attempted this before. If I could have followed the instructions properly, it would have taken about 20 minutes total. I messed up by adjusting the wrong adjustment screws, but that was my fault, the instructions are clear. Once I got myself straightened out, it worked perfectly. Feels great. Great improvement over the old Savage trigger. I would do this again, and it would probably take only 10 to 15 minutes
