Excellent product! I went ...

Excellent product! I went back and bought another in carbine length to replace another forearm. I like the two piece design. You can't index (get the grooves to line up where you want them), but I put a large rubber o-ring on the barrel nut to act as a crush washer and presto, indexable! What a bargain. I will use again for future products.

Value makes it an easy 5 ...

Value makes it an easy 5 star rating. Mine is a bit longer than I'd like. It hits my original gas block, so I went to a lo-pro gas block instead. A piece of cake. A spec sheet would be nice. Still a bargain!

I've used three of these. ...

I've used three of these. Two of them on rifles and one rifle length tube on a carbine gas system with a YHM low profile gas block. This is the best free float tube for the money. Good fit, good finish and it works. Apply a little oil or light grease on the receiver threads before installing the barrel nut. Tighten to 35 foot pounds or slightly more until the gas tube holes line up. I don't know what the guy was thinking when he was disappointed when his broke at 65 foot pounds? That's way too tight and you could twist the upper receiver. I am about to buy another!

For the price you can't ...

For the price you can't beat this free float hand guard. Half the price of another company's and is very good quality. It is also very light. I would recommend for any AR build. Finish is ok but may scratch easily, mine will probably be hydrodipped, and I will still be way under the cost of some other free float tubes. Thanks Midway USA for a great product and always fast shipping.

This inexpensive tube ...

This inexpensive tube turned my Sig 400 from a 3 inch shooter to a one and a half inch shooter with 62gr military ammo. Drilled and tapped it after it was on and put a swivel stud in with locktite. It isn't the lightest but it works great.

The tube is a great value. The finish is a little chalky but wiping with gun oil solves that. Drilled the end of mine and added a swivel stud for a bipod. Would buy again.

Its awesome. Light, easy to install and the finish wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, it hardly smugged at all when handling. Had no trouble with barrel nut, I bought a 5 prong wrench that was 35 bucks from here that worked great.

I was skeptical when I bought my first hand guard, but when I followed the instructions on how to install the handguard it was very simple my first on indexed perfect at 36 ft. lb.. I love the look also.

Arrived in excellent ...

Arrived in excellent condition. No problems installing. I would recommend torque to 20ft lbs not 30, to avoid possible cracking of nut or upper. Finish smudges easy, use a small coat of gun oil to fix. Nice handguard all around, I'll buy another. Make sure you have a barrel nut wrench or spanner wrench to fit around Bull Barrels!

Had a bump in the threads ...

Had a bump in the threads on the handguard itself, ended up stripping the threads on the first 1/8th inch. Cleaned them up a little and got it on the nut. Looks good now though.
