Comments about Hornady Universal Extended Shellholder:

The extension is 1.125" and fits both my CH single stage press and Lee Turret press, although it is a little longer than I needed or wanted. I agree with E of Clinton, NJ that it would be nice if it held the shell holder with a spring clip.

Nice product. I had no problem using this with the Lee Classic press, fit just fine and works will with the Hornady L-N-L conversion bushing in the Lee Classic press. This extended shell holder also works well in my Lyman turret press and Redding T-7 turret press. I do wish it used a spring clip to keep the shell holders in place in lieu of the provided set screw but otherwise I have no complaints. C&H makes a competitive product.

You can not call something "universal" if it does not fit everything. This extender DOES NOT fit Lee press rams (Classic Turret, Classic Cast). I was trying to extend ram so that I could use Hornady L-N-L bushings with the newer 1.9 inch of threading Lee dies (shorter than other brands). The additional height added by the LNL bushings do not allow the Lee dies to be screwed in far enough to touch shell plate. Completely unsuccessful because bottom dimensions are too thick to slide into Lee rams. This is hardly "universal".
