One of the fastest, easiest and safest ways to clean a gun, Eliminator will eliminate the need for other special cleaners on the bench. Works for rimfire, centerfire and shotgun barrels, this cleaner works in a two step process, the first one changes the electric configuration of the copper and the second step acts as a magnet to remove virtually all copper and prevents it from rebedding into the barrel. Non-toxic, non-flammable chemical is petroleum and ammonia free.

Just start patching out the bore, the first patch or two will be black as the powder fouling comes out, then the blue will show on subsequent patches indicating copper. Keep patching, blue starts to fade. After a dozen patches the barrel is as clean as you will be able to get it. You can leave the product in the bore as long as you like. Clean over several days if you want. No smell, a little bit expensive but worth every penny!!!!

I'd have to say that Bore Tech Eliminator is the best solvent for routine cleaning that I have used so far; I'm in no hurry to replace it. What all the other reviewers have said is true, and it's nice to see that level of consistency in a product. Eliminator barely has an odor, is non-toxic, will NOT harm your gun bore or steel/aluminum parts, AND it gets the fouling out quick. This stuff is pretty impressive, and it has sidelined my harsher chemicals like CR-10, which was never really a good option for normal routine cleaning. I only keep the latter in case I'm presented with intensely-fouled mystery bores of old or newly acquired used guns. Otherwise it's just too harsh (says its safe but then the directions say not to leave in bore for more than 15 minutes...), but Eliminator is not. You're basically told to go ahead and leave it in your bore because it's totally fine, or actually even good for it, and I've never had a problem doing so. I just run one last dry patch through and don't bother with an oil anymore. The one thing I've noticed that Boretech isn't great with lead fouling, but then again few products are great performers in that department. I don't really shoot lead bullets, but I had a used gun that had lead fouling in the bore and after cleaning with Boretech, all the copper and powder was wiped out, but lead streaks remained in the grooves. A nice long soak in Hoppes and some scrubbing got most it. Eventually I'll get it all...

Tried this stuff based on other reviews and I'm glad I did. Worked pretty well cleaning up lead on my .38 revolver. Did a really thorough cleaning the first time. Don't know if it's coincidence or what, but with the same ammo, there was far less lead and gunk build up and the next cleaning was really easy.My next Midway order is going to include the 16oz. bottle of Eliminator.

Works great! Quick with very little work and the best part NO smell! Having used Shooter's Choice, Butch's Bore Shine and Sweet's, Bore Tech work's better.No longer is cleaning after a day at the range a prolonged process. After cleaning with Bore Tech use JB Bore paste and the bore is mirror shiny. This has helped the accuracy on several of my rifles. Cleaning indoors will not stink the place up and have wife complaining. Just be advised that used patches will develop a smell like cat urine by the next day. So throw 'em in the outside trash.Update: The smell on used patches came from the powder used as not all guns gave that smell. Be VERY careful if using to clean a nickel plated gun. It will discolor the nickel if left in contact with it. Happen to my S&W at the muzzle. Otherwise a great solvent!

This stuff is great! It's the best copper remover I've tried, considerably better then Sweets, with no smell. Biggest problem is that it attacks the brass cleaning jag so I usually get false positives. Bore Tech says they're coming out with non-brass jags shortly to solve this problem. I even cleaned off some black, tarry substance that was exuding from one of my wife's appliances with no problem, just soaked it with BTE and wiped with a damp paper towel. This will be my go-to cleaner from now on, at least after the non-brass jags are available.

My 1973 Ruger M77 Tang Safety 270 Win is a sub MOA shooter with factory ammo but it is a heavy copper fouler. Bore Tech Eliminator Bore Cleaning Solvent is at least as effective as Barnes CR-10, which is quite good, but without the smell. Highly recommended.

I was searching for the best bore cleaner and the reviews for Bore Tech Eliminator sounded good so I had to try it. I was amazed at what came out on the patches since the product I was using had good reviews from another website. Do yourself a favor and get some if you want a really clean firearm with the expectation of better accuracy.

Apparently very good stuff. Followed instructions on back of bottle after 200-250 rounds, and used a nylon bore brush. Plenty of green, blue and black came out early, tapering off after a couple of patch passes. To test after that, I ran a Hoppes No. 9 soaked patch down the barrel afterwards, and the patch came out completely clean. I have no idea what's in it, but coupled with the, almost, lack of smell, I'd like to keep using this stuff based on this result.

Bore Tech Eliminator is a new, super high-tech specialty bore cleaner. Its main advantages are: it gives you all types of bore cleaning you'll need in one cleaner (copper, lead, carbon, plastic, etc.); it is TOTALLY environmentally safe, non-toxic, and biodegradable; it does NOT have a smell at all (someone 5 feet away cannot even smell it); it works fairly quickly; and best of all, it WILL NOT DAMAGE your bore if left in overnight. I have gotten outstanding results cleaning with it. Not to mislead anyone: it still takes elbow grease, some patches, and the use of nylon or brass brushes (note that brass brushes will be attached by the solvent, and so you may wish to use nylon). I have tried a LOT of specialized gun cleaning products, bore cleaners, etc. And I think for a single, all-purpose bore cleaner, which is nicer to work with because it's not such a nasty smelly chemical, yet it gets your bore totally clean, I would heartily recommend Bore Tech Eliminator. They have some other specialized versions (for Rimfire guns, and for Benchrest guns, for example), but I have found this general solution of theirs works for all my needs. Combine this with a great CLP product, such as Ballistol or Break-Free, and you've got all the gun care solutions you need!

After years of buying promises of the latest, greatest, fastest, simplest, most convenient, whiz-bang chemicals to clean guns -- finally, somebody delivers a product that actually works!!! By following the directions on the product, I was able to clean my heavily used cowboy action guns quickly and completely. This is the ONLY product I've ever used that cleans moly completely out of the bore. It works better than any chemical approach for lead. Carbon is a piece of cake with this stuff! I don't think it sped up the removal of plastic from the forcing cones of my shotguns, but it gets the carbon and lead out making the plastic easier to attack with brushes. I have used it also on my ARs and it works on copper fouling extremely well. Midway doesn't carry their specialty cleaners --shotgun, rimfire, copper, and moly-- but this seems to work as well, or better than the older solutions for all situations.I am very, very, very happy to have found this product. Run, don't walk, to get some and see for yourself.
