KNS Precision "Post" type front sights offer the shooter better target acquisition in that the line of sight is completely unubstructed. The sight body is steel with a black oxide finish. The combo pack comes with a standard post in .034", .052" and .072" diameters as well as a ball post in .034", .052" and .072" diameters.

I installed this front sight post in my Saiga 223 with relative ease. It seemed sturdy and well made. The ball makes target acqusistion a little faster with iron sights, although I must admit that I cheated a little bit. Before installing this product, I coated the ball on the top of the post with glow in the dark paint.

Replaced both front sights on my 2 AKs, original blade miked at .073". Wanted to check sight picture with Mojo rear sight, much better. Used my $3.99 TAPCO sight tool from Midway to remove old ones and install new ones, no sweat. As for cost, still cheaper than AR stuff. Won't put old sight back if the .052" don't work, but will order .072" ball sight from KNS and Midway.

I installed this on my Norinco SKS. I did use the stock front sight tool with no problem. I will say the KNS front sight base is also narrow around the area you must turn with the tool so be careful when you screw it down. Compared to stock, this one is much thinner and taller but the SKS has a good protective front sight cover. The main reason I chose to replace the front sight is because I installed a Tech-sight rear sight and this one works very well.

Just added this piece to my $2,000 Arsenal Saiga and I'm fairly happy with it. I had to buy a special Arsenal brand sight tool to remove the original sight post (it ate the soft UTG brand sight tool), and this one screwed right in. It's thin, which will help with long shots, but for how small it is, I don't think 9 bucks is right.
