Product Information

The traditional, flat base design of the Pro-Hunter has been skillfully blended with Sierra's world-famous accuracy. The custom-tapered Pro-Hunter jacket design helps assure maximum expansion, optimum weight retention and deep penetration for game-stopping, 1-shot performance. The 30 Caliber 150 Grain Round Nose Pro-Hunter is an excellent choice when good expansion and deep penetration are required at short to medium ranges. This bullet works great for whitetail or black bear. This is not loaded ammunition.

Look no further!!

I loaded these for my T/C Venture in 308 Win. and was very pleased to see on first 3 shots a perfect 3/4 inch cloverleaf at 100yrds. 2 more 3 shot groups had me at 1 inch high and still cuttin out cloverleaf groups! Ive killed 3 deer this season at ranges of 150,265 and 325yrds and none moved over 15 yrds. After hearing the load SMACK of the bullet I knew this was the bullet I would hunt with for as long as I can pull the trigger!!! If you want to keep the shoulders I suggest that you dont aim there though due to the damage that bullet will do to the area of impact and exit!! Way to go Sierra dont change a thing with this bullet!!!!

My neighbor wanted round nose bullets for his .308 in 150 gr, so I agreed to load some for him. He was sick and tired of explosive action of ballistic tipped bullets. I loaded a box for myself and man are they awesome. I had to change my scope settings a little, but they load great and shoot accurately as any pointed bullet. I am shooting them out of a Remington model 750 carbine in .308 . They actually make a loud smack when they hit a deer broadside. I shot a few rounds in a chunk of Ash wood blocks. The bullets turned inside out and lost allot of lead, but the amazing thing is the lead was still hanging onto the copper like it was soldered to it. Great bullet

I have used these bullets for my 30-06. They are the best bullet for thick cover, and will not blow up on small limbs. I have taken numerous deer with them. One shot to the shoulder, and deer will never move again. Perfect expansion every time, to deliver maximum kinetic energy transfer to animal for a quick, human harvest. Time tested 20yrs, and over 75 animals.

After several years of reloading high end bullets for my 1954,Savage/model 99 in 300 savage and never quite getting the accuracy I thought the rifle was capable of (1.75"-2.5")@ 100 yds. I found these bullets and thought why not? Amazingly .8"-1.25" groups @ 100 yds(5 shots),with all other components remaining the same. My old 99 has come to life again and I will try it out this spring on howlin dogs.I think these bullets are what was available at the time of this rifles manufacture, and the barrel reflects that in the accuracywith these bullets. They are not pretty, but accuracy is more important!! Thanks Sierra
