After a small modification, it works great. As seen in the picture, the nylon covers your swivel stud. Pass a hot ice pick or the like through the nylon into the swivel. Then attach sling. It prevents twisting or movement of the shellholder. Mine has lasted five years and for $2.50, its hard to beat.

I've used two of these on different guns of mine while target shooting or hunting and I have zero complaints. They fit on the stock easily and hold the rounds snug in the elastic loops. Well worth the $5 I paid for them.

I have owned several for over 10 years, shotguns and rifle types, still work ok though after 10 years the holding power of the elasticity has diminished. I clean them after hunting, I used the hot knife to create a hole that self healed for a swivel grommet, useful and inexpensive..

For what these cost, it's ...

For what these cost, it's hard to complain about anything. They function well and will hold up for some time. I slide mine up to the grip of the stock during storage to help preserve the elasticity, and do not leave shells in it while in storage. I put one of these on a lever action .357, and was tickled pink to find that the handgun cartridges are small enough to fit two rounds end to end in each loop, and that the loops are snug enough to hold the rounds securely. So now I can carry an extra 18 rounds on the buttstock of my lever gun. Awesome.
