Using this for both the ...

Using this for both the range and hunting coyotes that like to hang out around the 300 to 400 yards and just wont come when called. The tripod was replaced after the first trip out but It was not purchased for the tripod overall a great item for the money

I purchased this spotting ...

I purchased this spotting scope for the sole purpose of viewing targets at the range, and for the money it works very well. I had a Tasco spotting scope, which was also a variable power scope, that was very distorted at the higher magnifications. This Bushnell spotting scope is surprisingly clear at 36 power, though field of view and clarity are better at the lower magnifications. It came with a nice padded aluminum case, a tripod, and a shoulder strap. It also came with lens caps and two keys for the locking case. This scope is rated 100 percent waterproof, but I would not expect it to perform in the rain. The tripod is adequate for the bench but not for the field. Those who wear glasses should not buy this scope because there's very little eye relief - you nearly have to press your eyebrow to the eyepiece. If you shoot smallbore rifles at extended ranges you may be better served by a higher quality scope. For a big game rifle .270 or larger, it is all you need. It's a lot of scope for the money, and overall I am well satisfied.

Nice basic scope for a ...

Nice basic scope for a fair price. It does the job well for my local 100 yard shooting range. I would want a bit more clarity in the optics and a beefier stand for 300 or more yards. My next scope will be a Bushnell.

Unfortunately I don't ...

Unfortunately I don't have anything to compare this scope with. However, I purchased it to view targets at 100 yards. I can see the hits at this distance but I don't think it would be very useful at any greater distance. Of course, the higher the power the smaller the field of view.
