This tool looks like it should work, but so far it hasn't. I don't know if my ejector pin has been loctited in or something, but I can't get it out. The Schuster tool has to be tightened down really well to use it, otherwise the bolt rotates and you have to realign it with the hole through which the pin is supposed to fall. Also, it could use a hole on the other side so you could use it that way, if you so choose.

I have had this bolt jig ...

I have had this bolt jig for a while and have used it many times. I place it into my bench vise, fasten the bolt into it and presto, disassembly is a snap. Be sure the bolt's roll pins will index into the relief holes in the jig before you begin to displace them. Reassembly is just as easy. You must take care to make sure the bore in the bolt for the roll pins are clear before you begin to reinsert them. With some careful handling the roll pins can be tapped into place. Colt Armorer School advised to use new roll pins each time you need to reassemble parts that require a roll pin as part of the assembly. The old ones eventually compress and begin to loosen a bit. Using a quality roll pin punch helps the job along with ease. This jig is like having several extra hands...I will buy another for my field kit.
