The Adaptable Carbine/Storage stock (ACS) features an integrated storage compartment located at its tail for spare parts and other gear, dual, water-tight battery storage tubes on either side, and a replaceable 0.30" rubber butt pad that provides an anti-slip surface and added protection from impact damage. Also features the unique cam-lock design pioneered by Magpul's CTR stock, enhancing stability and accuracy potential by anchoring the stock tightly to the buffer tube with minimal wobble. A sloping cheek weld surface and shielded release latch further contribute to the stock's ergonomic, user-friendly design. Compatible with the ASAP and other receiver mounted sling adapters, with provisions for adding push button QD sling mount sockets (not included) for right or left handed sling positioning. Buffer, buffer tube, and recoil spring not included.

Great construction, ...

Great construction, little heavy @ 14oz compared to CTRs 9oz. To me it evens out the balance slightly, great cheek weld position, doesn't pull my whiskers. Good SOLID feel to it. Think if you put the LMT SOPMOD/CTR/EMOD together and you have the ACS. I really like the one piece construction instead of like the UBRs, which the locking mechnism for the stock can break. I use this over a Vltor Milspec tube and its nice and tight, its slightly longer and my only 2 gripes are ability to take it on and off. They supply you with dummy rounds to install/uninstall but you can use a live round in the field. It didn't include a QD swivel point so I'm guessing you have to buy it seperate and fully collapsed it rides right on my Noveske endplate QD point. Keeps it secure but those who use QD attachments might be slightly disappointed its not included.If you were looking at an Emod/LMT stock, grab this. For me fully collapsed it has perfect cheek weld alignment, and my QD swivel still has full movement, doesn't bind.

I installed the MagPul ...

I installed the MagPul ACS on my RRA Entry Tactical carbine. I am frankly somewhat disappointed with it. It wobbles just as much as the RRA collapsible stock. The cheek weld is better but not dramatically so. The battery storage tubes are do not work well for the Surefire 123 batteries that I use. There is a lot of extra space that allows the batteries to rattle around and make a LOT of noise. I will have to try to come up with some way to tighten up the fit. This is a definite problem if you need to be quiet. The installation of the stock is very klutzy. You are supposed to try to use the plastic dummy round as a lever to pull the locking pin up enough to slide the stock on the extension. It's very hard to get a grip on the pin with the dummy round. All in all not a bad stock, just not as good as its reputation.

Great Stock

Don't believe Magpul makes a bad product. Very solid stock. It does, however, extend the overall length of the rifle (no longer fits in the case I have). It is a bit on the heaver side as well. Will probably go with the skeleton STR (or similar) stock on my next rifle.

The weeble-wooble fit of ...

The weeble-wooble fit of the x-brand butt stock on my ar15 5.56 was getting old. Looking for a tighter fitting unit, I went with the ACS model, and couldnt be happier. This thing fits like a glove (just make sure you get the correct version for your buffer tube Mil-Spec or commercial). Installs in minutes and is ready to go. The cam-lock is a great addition, guess I got lucky as it locks up with zero free play. Its about an inch longer than the MOE, and adding a larger recoil pad (.70 upgrade) really lets you stretch it out for long range shots. Elbows in tight can be fatiguing right? Its heavier, but I don't mind the weight given the solid feel and construction. The unit looks good too, for those wanting a tricked out battle rifle to show off. No stranger to Magpul though, I have a PRS model on an ar10 308 and that puppy rocks just as solid, it can't be beat. So if your sick of flip floppy, loose, cheap butt stocks... go Magpul !!!

Most comfortable cheek ...

Most comfortable cheek weld ever. I cant use anything else on my AR-15's. I can run-n-gun, aim quickly, and rest my cheek better on this stock than any I have ever used before. I give 50% of my accuracy credit to this stock, without it I would be lost!! Oh and the storage features rock too!!

Awesome, plenty of ...

Awesome, plenty of storage for odds and end in the back and an amazing cheek weld, while there is still some wobble in spite of the "friction lock" it's still less than most collapsible stocks. I find it's easier to get a consistent cheek weld with this and it just fits better at most lengths than most other stocks I've used.

My friends at magpul have done it again another great quality product. The friction lock is Awseome finally a stock with no jiggle. It is very comfy to ones cheek not a whole lot of weight,I was very happy to find three dummy 5.56 rounds hidden inside. Thank you very much Magpul and MidwayUSA.

This is an outstanding ...

This is an outstanding stock. The battery noise problem can be solved easily by putting in some soft "ear plugs". The "ear plugs" will stop the noise. MAGPUL has done an outstanding job-again !!!!! "Thank you MIDWAYUSA for keeping the finest parts for the people who really enjoy the "ART OF SHOOTING". P.S. LOVE THE MIDWAYUSA VIDEOS.

I purchased 3 of these ...

I purchased 3 of these for various build between RRA and DPMS AR's and I can't figure out why I didn't upgrade to them sooner. They are more comfortable than the standard 6 position collapsible, and give you storage space for batteries etc. The lock in to position firmly. I think they only way you could destroy it is to use it for an axe chopping concrete. Rugged and reliable and a must have upgrade for the AR platform.
