Identical to the Magpul MVG with the exception of being designed for use on standard M1913 Picatinny handguard rails. The Magpul RVG is ergonomically designed for use as a standard vertical foregrip while still being effective when used with the "thumb break method" of shooting.

I had tried several stubbly vertical grips prior to this Magpul and all had issues...too short, too slick, too thin profile etc.. I use the thumbreak method and wanted a grip to use for that hold and the Magpul is perfect for wrapping fingers around the front edge. The unit is oblong and works well as a broomstick if needed but its best attribute is its perfect length for wrapping four fingers in the thumbreak hold. Unit is tough and mounts solid and has excellent non slip texture and its shorter length does not hang on gear as my original full length vfg did. I mated the Magpul with the LaRue handstop on the 9 o'clock rail for perfection of repeat application of the thumbreak hold. Excellent product for an excellent price.

I installed this item on ...

I installed this item on my LWRC last night, but not without a lot of difficulty. The nuts are very thin the threads stripped out when trying to tighten it down. After replacing those I still couldn't get it on so I had to drill out some of the plastic to make the screws sit in deeper. I'm not sure why I'm the only person who's had problems, but I believe MagPul needs to redesign this product to work with minor variations in different picatinny rails.

Excellent feel, No problems mounting (although I mounted mine on a shotgun so a gunsmith recommended a LITTLE bit of loc-tite.) Perfect length, all the ones I've tried previously are too long or too skinny, I felt like I was holding a pencil. This is great and I abuse mine frequently with no problems.

Great grip, Solid as a rock, installed easy and is the perfect size for an "average to large" size hand, even came with hardware to mount if you don't have rail and just normal handguard!

This definitely gets in ...

This definitely gets in the way of speed reloads on an AK. It makes it very difficult to rock a new mag in. I wouldn't recommend for tacticool AKsHowever as a product its great. Solid construction comfortable to grip. Doesnt add a lot of weight for its durability. locks up nice and solid putting it on my dads AR15 instead.

MagPul has done it again!! The fit on my troy industries quad rail was perfect, solid lockup with ZERO play. Texture is plenty for wet, muddy or other fluid conditions without tearing up your bare hand.
