Solid construction with an adjustable length of pull and cheekpiece height make this stock an excellent option for varmint and long-range target rifles. The 28 oz weight adds heft and balance to heavy-barreled rifles. Requires standard rifle-length A2 buffer, receiver extension buffer tube, and spring (not included). Includes mounting hardware and 2 ambidextrous sling loops. When compared to the standard A2 stock, the MagPul PRS length of pull adjustment goes from .25" shorter than the A2 to .75" longer than the A2.

Note:

This stock requires a rifle length buffer, buffer tube extension and spring which must be purchased seperately.

The AR-10 PRS can be used on an AR-15 for additional clearance between the charging handle and the cheek rest.

I have the Magpul PRS Stock on a AR-10 rifle and am looking to purchase one for a AR-15. There seems to be a difference of opinion in the reviews whether the AR-10 PRS will work on a AR-15. I decided to check myself before ordering and went to Magpul's website for the AR-10 version of the PRS for this information.

The following is from Magpul's website. Hopefully, this will help anyone in selecting the correct PRS stock.

The PRS is a direct replacement for an A1 or A2 fixed stock. Fitting to a carbine with a collapsible stock will require a rifle-length receiver extension tube, rifle buffer and spring (not included).

NOTE: The PRS AR10/SR25 stock may be used on AR15/M16 rifles to provide additional charging handle clearance. Stock is not compatible with Bushmaster BAR-10 and Rock River Arms LAR-8 due to additional charging handle to cheek riser interference issues.

Looks and quality are ...

Looks and quality are great. Pretty heavy, which is not a bad thing for Target use. My only complaint is the limited adjustments. I'm 6'4" with long arms, so the adjustments are maxed out and I need a little more. With that said...BUY IT, you'll like it.

Excellent stock to ...

Excellent stock to replace standard collapsible stock on Barret REC7 in 6.8 SPC; highly recommended for long distance tactical/target shooting. Would be even nicer if Magpul offered or at minimum identified recommended accessories when going from a collapsible stock to this fixed stock (buffer, buffer spring, etc.)

I've never been totally ...

I've never been totally comfortable behind an AR-15 until I installed the Magpul. The ergonomics makes it feel like a totally different rifle! I've been able to adjust the cheek weld and length of pull so perfectly that I can immediately get on the gun and be ready to take the shot. I use my AR-15 for varmint hunting so being able to take the quick shot is important. The bull barrelled AR was made even heavier with the Magpul, which makes long carries a bit tougher, but ease of use on those quick shots makes it a good trade off.I would not hesitate to recommend this stock to anyone wishing to take their AR-15 to the next level

Great stock. The only ...

Great stock. The only thing I would caution people about is the cheek piece won't do you any good if you shoot nose-to-charging-handle. This is to allow the charging handle to work properly. I am 5'10", medium build and I have the butt adjusted most of the way out to get a comfortable prone shooting position with my cheek on the front edge of the cheek piece.

This thing is great! ...

This thing is great! Adjustable cheek piece gets me perfect eye alignment to the scope AND a solid weld to the stock at the same time - not an easy task for a scoped AR. Clearance to charging handle is acceptable - maybe 1/4" or so when the handle is fully retracted. Bottom of the stock is shaped nicely to get a solid grip on the stock and pull the rifle tight to the shoulder for bipod or bench shooting. In the fully collapsed position stock is around 1/4" shorter than the A2 stock this one replaced. This is the perfect stock for finishing off a long range prone AR. 4 stars instead of 5 because I would've liked the length of pull to be able to adjust a little shorter and the recoil pad is a hard rubber. While the pad does give a positive no slip purchase to the shoulder I don't think it would be too much to ask for a little softer pad given the price of the stock. This stock's best use is for a heavy, long range set up. The stock is notably heavier than the A2 stock. Wish they could've added just a little more weight somewhere. Recoil is certainly lighter than before, too. Installation couldn't have taken much more than 3-5 minutes (don't forget about the rear takedown pin spring and detent), and functionality has been awesome. No more sore neck from lying behind a scoped AR looking at distant targets. I would not want this stock on anything but an h-bar or heavier barrel, and think it is perfect on my bull barrel. I have one more long range AR to build and this will be butt stock that goes on the gun. Last, the stock looks great on the gun, too. No regrets on this purchase: functional and cosmetic.

I had no idea that a stock could help so much with cheek weld and eye positioning every time. One of the best investments for a scoped AR. Well worth every penny. I would highly recommend!

Nice tight fit on the ...

Nice tight fit on the buffer tube of my Olympic Arms lower. Pull length and cheek height are easily adjusted. An outstanding product!
