The Angled Fore-Grip (AFG) mounts to any Picatinny-spec rail and provides for a forward grip/index point with enhanced ergonomics over the traditional vertical fore-grip. Engineered to account for natural body mechanics, the AFG can increase a shooter's speed and efficiency by providing a more stable, comfortable interface with the gun's forend, reducing fatigue and allowing for greater recoil mitigation. Features an anti-slip texture for a positive grip, and 2 interchangeable front strap inserts for greater user configurability.

This is not just another MagPul 'tacti-cool' product as I see so many people in blogs say. At first, I wasn't happy about the AFG because I wanted to place it near the magwell. That turned out to be very uncomfortable. A friend of mine felt the same way I did about the grip. So I decided to move it forward on my carbine length KAC RAS to where the screw in the AFG located to the first slot of the rail (B28). I found this configuration very comfortable as did my friend, and we found that in the forward placement the AFG helps very much to relieve tension in the forward wrist. If you buy this product, try every placement before you give up on it. I really like this grip now and I'd recommend it to my friends.

This is a well implemented, cool concept but I can't rave about it. I guess I have big hands and a long reach because when I pulled this thing out of the package I could not believe how small it was. I can't seem to find the right way for it to fit may hand comfortably. I tried moving it out farther but that didnt seem to help either. I will change the finger grips to see if that helps and edit this review if necessary. But, the quality is typical Magpul (fantastic), it looks really cool, fits superbly and Ill keep it on the AR back against the magazine for my wife and daughter who have a shorter reach. But, Ill keep the vertical on in front of it for me.

I installed the Magpul AFG Angled Forend Grip on my DPMS AP-4 that was modified with a UTG Pro Quad Rail and it complements the firearm and provides a great stress relief to your grip

Well built, love magpul ...

Well built, love magpul as a company...but I've found that it's rather uncomfortable for people with long arms. If you've got normal sized arms, this would probably work for you, but as someone with longer arms running a carbine-length RIS it's probably not the greatest choice. Going back to a VFG.

This at first looks dumb. ...

This at first looks dumb. But once you get it on it is amazing. It forces you to snug the rifle to your body, not just pulling down or to the side like a vertical grip. I was skeptical at first, but now this is the only thing going on any of my tactical rifles.

Great grip! I like the grip angle much better that a standard VFG. I subscribe to the MagPul method of wrapping your support hand around the forearm and you just can't do that comfortably with a standard VFG. With this grip, you can really get the gun to point faster and control recoil better, plus it helps you really pull the weapon tight into your shoulder for a more stable stance. Highly recommended, although I think I will go with the smaller AFG2 for me new SBR build.

I do not usually get excited about a vertical grip, but am ecstatic about how well this thing works. I've ran the traditional vert grip for over a decade now and was VERY skeptical about the AFG at first. I am now a convert and will not use another kind of grip. The AFG allows for quicker target acquisition and helps prevent over-travel when transitioning from target to target. Another little perk is that you can slam your gun down on a barrier without screwing up your rails with the AFG attached. Comes with an A2 style and smooth plug to suite your personal style. Great product from Magpul.

I ordered both the MagPul AFG & RVG fro Midway, The AFG was my primary front grip until I came across a Stream light TLR1 to add to my Carbine length rail. I use the RVG currently as it allows more accessories on the bottom rail.The AFG will eventually make it over to my AR15 6.8 SBR

This takes some "getting- used-to". It's not your usual hand-grip. Once adjusted to how to handle it, it's great. Ideal for the AK47 or VZ58/2008. The low profile allows plenty of room to change Mags easily. Standard "stick" grips occasionally interfere with "rocking" the magazines in. An all-around quality product that looks & works well.
