This ammunition produces immediate energy dispersal into the target with reduced penetration. Each round is exceptionally accurate and has minimal ricochet. Penetrates 5" - 7" in lab testing.

I bought 2 boxes of this ammo, and I was very disappointed with the accuracy of this round out of my 6" S&W 629-1. I had sighted in with Hornady 200 grain JHP's, and when I fired off a 6 of these rounds at the same point I got a 7" spread off a rest along with a headache from the nasty report of these rounds! The worker at the indoor range came in because he thought a gun had exploded when I fired the first one off. I give the ammo two stars instead of one because of the other 6 rounds I took to some milk jugs and watermelons. The damage was much more than any other round Ive put through my old 44. The Glasers fragmented in the water and the jacket and fragments pellets did not penetrate the backboard. Terminal performance on these rounds are nothing short of catastrophic in 44 magnum. I would not recommend this ammo for protection because of the poor accuracy and deafening blast. I have used Glaser blues in other calibers and they have worked great. My 629 may not like then but another gun might, Im just reporting what I experienced.
